Xbox Live’s Games With Gold program for September 2018 features a solid lineup of co-op friendly games. Single-player loving Xbox One users who have GOLD membership will be able to build their own criminal housing facility in Prison Architect for the entire month of September. Following this, Livelock, a top-down co-op shooter, becomes free Sept. 15th to Oct. 16th.

This number spans the entire series all the way through to LEGO Star Wars 3: The Clone Wars. If 30 million sales was not enough excitement for LEGO developer Traveller's Tales, they are celebrating this landmark by signing an extension to their contract with LucasArts until 2022.

Nintendo's 3DS handheld console launches today in the UK and Australia, while the system will launch in North America on Sunday the 27th. Priced at $250, this marks Nintendo's most expensive handheld to date, but also its most ambitious. The main feature is obviously the glasses free 3D screen for games and video, but there's a lot more packed into the little hand held than meets the eye.

The prolific Lego titles are at it again. Today we have two new videos from Traveller's Tales, the makers of the Lego games. The first video is a preview of the new Lego Pirates of the Caribbean game. The title will cover all four movies, and it is set to release May 13th, around the same time as the fourth film On Stranger Tides. The second trailer is a cut scene from the upcoming Lego Star Wars III: The Clone Wars, which should be out March 22nd. You can check out a demo on Xbox LIVE. It appears the games will have the same sense of humor that has helped them appeal to gamers of all ages. Both Lego titles should be available on every major system, as well as support two player co-op.
As this generation of consoles age, potentially reaching the end of their cycle, it’s time to start thinking about what comes next. The one thing that we’ve been somewhat spoiled on is the digital distribution for each console, with Steam topping the sundae that is customer accessibility.
There's a brand new, co-op friendly, demo for LEGO Star Wars III: The Clone Wars out now on Xbox Live. The demo includes both space and ground levels to try out as you take on the evil Empire with your army of clones. At your disposal are new weapons, news characters and new force abilities. Perhaps the most promising feature though for the full game is going to be the "multi-layered space combat" missions.
We recently let you know about the small delay for the release of Lego Star Wars 3: The Clone Wars. Today, to help dry your tears, we bring you a new pre-launch trailer. It covers some of the epic battles from both The Clone Wars and Attack of the Clones. The new, more 'realistic' enviroments are all on display in their non-Lego glory. The upgraded engine should allow for more blocks on screen than ever, which means more droid fodder for your humming light saber. At one point a decapitated droid head is used as a weapon. No word yet on whether or not this game will be ripped from store shelves for its graphic depiction of Lego violence.
