Left 4 Dead 2 Steam Demo Now Pre-Loading

If you've got Left 4 Dead 2 preordered for the PC, you can now fire up Steam and preload the files getting yourself ready for the zombie slaughter. It all begins on Tuesday, October 27th. We strongly advise pre-loading, that way there's no need to wait for the demo to download on Tuesday.

You don't want to be staring at your friends list, jealous of everyone playing, while you wait for a download to complete...do you? 360 users who preordered also get the demo on the same day, but sadly, there's no pre-loading process.

I'd be excited for this, if I wasn't skipping the demo and the game release (for the first day) and waiting to November 18th. Gotta keep myself in the dark, so I don't make my friend coming home from boot camp that day feel bad because he doesn't know all the levels yet or how to deal with new Infected, or whatever.

My other two friends are obviously gonna play this into the dirt, but I don't want to make boot camp friend's first experience with the new game a complete "Follow the Leader" experience.

Though one friend is already saying "I'll be point-man for you two, then" which. . . Ugh. Kind of defeats the point. :/ I don't want my hand held. I just don't want to make someone in our group feel uncomfortable.

I've got it preloaded, but I kinda want to skip playing it for a bit. Don't want anything messing up my Borderlands time. I know I'm going to enjoy L4D2, but want to give Borderlands co-op a chance with a buddy first (we're giving the single player some time before jumping into co-op, only been a day so far).
