If there is one game type that needs more co-op it's the addictive action puzzle game genre. Of that genre the most famous for nibbling away at our time is PopCap Games with their Peggle, and Plants Vs. Zombies. Of course this means we're very excited to announce that Plants Vs. Zombies will have a co-op mode when it moves over from the PC to the Xbox LIVE Arcade.
Yes, you read right, the addictive mini-games, adventure, survival, puzzle, and/or zen modes of Plants Vs. Zombies will have co-op on the XBLA. How do we know? The achievement list that recently appeared for the game, revealing a goofy co-op reward.

Plants vs. Zombies, for those unfamiliar with the PC game will get a pretty good idea of what kind of puzzle game we're looking at through this trailer. No word yet on the XBLA release date, but we're sure to keep you posted as we get more information down the road.
Update: Popcap has just posted the official press release. No details are given other than confirming a co-op and versus mode as well as some social functionality. The price was also listed at $10 or 1200 
with a "fall" release date.
