Experience the 'Origin' of Left 4 Dead in PAYDAY: The Heist, Mercy Hospital DLC Now Available

PAYDAY: The Heist’s newest DLC episode, “Mercy Hospital”, has got to be one of the best cross-over, non-canon gaming episodes we’ve seen in a very long time. Why not grab a crew and try fighting off the impending zombie doom yourself?

It's crazy to see a Left 4 Dead fan fiction made into a reality, but it actually came true. So many players have contemplated what exactly caused the zombie outbreak of the entire L4D series, leaving the world in utter chaos and ruin. The DLC from Overkill Software might not have the official, Valve stamp of approval (in terms of L4D storyline), but this does helps feed our zombie killing cravings much sooner than possible and is much appreciated.

This is the newest heist for 4 co-op players to tackle together, entering into the story at the very center of the original L4D zombie outbreak location, Mercy Hospital. Your group is on a mission to secure the blood of an on-site patient, believed to carry a unique virus strain that various outside clients want to get their hands on. The mission is simple: break into the hospital, retrieve the blood samples, and leave in one piece. Unfortunately, things will become complicated when everyone turns zombie on you.

If you’re a Steam user and already own PAYDAY: The Heist, this episode will be automatically added to your games list with the latest update included. In addition, new masks paying homage to the new infection theme will be available to wear in-game as well.

Download the PAYDAY: The Heist's, “Mercy Hospital” DLC on Steam today and enjoy video game fan fiction at its finest!
