Mortal Kombat series creator Ed Boon revealed a canceled game on Friday - one that would have served as a 'spiritual sequel' to the PlayStation 2 and Xbox co-op game Mortal Kombat: Shaolin Monks. According to GameInformer online, Ed described the scrapped game (titled Mortal Kombat: Fire & Ice) as another co-op campaign for the series, one that would have featured Scorpion and Sub-Zero as the main characters.

IO Interactive have just released a brand new set of screenshots of the upcoming two player co-op game, Kane and Lynch 2: Dog Days for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC. The screens showcase the game's relentless action and gritty atmosphere, something players experienced in the exclusive demo on the Xbox 360 last week.
The next Guitar Hero game, Guitar Hero Warriors of Rock will have a strong focus in rock, classic rock and metal music when it launches this fall. Along with a co-op quest mode you'll have all your usual options of play for your band of face melting characters. Some of the worst games you'll find are those shoved onto shelves to coincide with an overhyped movie release. Only a very few games really buck this trend, and it's a pleasant surprise that the Toy Story 3 video game is one of them.
