Another week, another set of songs from Guitar Hero Smash Hits has been revealed.  To my own personal delight, the songs listed this week are from the classic that started it all, Guitar Hero (which sadly didn't feature co-op).  You'll recall I was pulling for Pantera and Blue Oyster Cult, and it appears my wish has been granted!  Both of those bands are in Guitar Hero Smash Hits, along with a few others you may have heard of...

The official Left 4 Dead blog goes in depth with the upcoming FREE Survival Pack DLC that hits the PC and Xbox 360 versions next week.  While some may think the new mode would be a simple - throw everything at the player and see how long they can survive type gameplay - well, you'd be partially wrong.  

Perhaps it's a bit ironic, perhaps a bit fitting, but on the day the Pirate Bay Trial Guitly Verdict was handed down Gas Powered Games has addressed some of the issues plaguing Demigod.  If you've picked up the game recently and tried to play online, you may have noticed that...well it's not working.  At least not very well.  The reason behind this?  Pirates - and I don't mean the Somalian kind.

So there it is in all it's not cel-shaded glory.  The new rendering technique that Gearbox has dubbed the four player co-op game Borerlands is called "Concept Art Rendering Technique."   It doesn't exactly roll off the tongue, but it sure is easy on the eyes.

Dishwasher Dead Samurai is a co-op game where players control a zombie ninja hell bent on lopping the limbs off anything that moves, how could it not be good? We dig into the game's co-op mode and bring back the gory details in our review.

Destructoid posted a quick hands-on preview of the upcoming downloadable co-op game Zombie Apocalypse from publisher Konami, and they really seemed to like it!

Could the timing be any better? Yesterday, our weekly This Week in Co-Op column went up, and featured the only SOCOM title to have a co-op mode.

Gamefly is clearing out their inventory of games, and in doing so they are offering some sick prices on a lot of great co-op titles.  Here's the list of co-op games that are on sale.  

If you were lucky enough to get your hands on Space Invaders Extreme for the PSP or Nintendo DS you know the game is a worthy remake of the classic title.  Much like the great Pac-Man Championship Edition, Space Invaders Extreme takes a classic game and adds some modern flair to it without removing what made the original so great.

I saw this interesting story over at Kotaku, and thought I'd share.  Usually game box art is hit or miss as to whether or not what's advertised on the cover is in the game.  The upcoming Ghostbusters game from Atari though is being straight up about it.  

We had been hopeful of co-op somehow being included in Sony's upcoming mega smash sequel, God of War 3, but now we know for sure.  In a recent interview with God of War 3 director Stig Asmussen, CVG asked if co-op would be included in the game, perhaps even in a patch.  The reponse was quick, harsh, and to the point, much like Kratos himself.

Sacred 2 released for PC late last year, and the much anticipated and twice delayed console versions are slated for release next month.  (Finally!)  Up to two couch co-op players can join two more friends online to make a dungeon crawling quartet.  Sacred 2 reminds us of other action RPGs like Diablo and Titan Quest, and that is a good thing, for sure!
