Shazbot. Battlefield: Bad Company 2's co-op afterthought mode, Onslaught, will not be coming to PC, after all. Althought DICE has claimed that they are working too hard on making Battlefield 3 "the biggest launch in DICE's history", I wouldn't be surprised if Onslaught's somewhat low profitability was a major factor. The download-only title Battlefield 1943 has also been canceled on PC, which is no surprise; the hype for it is pretty much dead in the water now that Bad Company 2 has been on shelves for nearly a year.

The Battlefield Bad Company 2: Vietnam expansion pack was released world wide for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC this week, and although there is no Onslaught co-op mode (sad face) the downloadable add-on is a hot item for shooter fans.

It's a great week to be a co-op gamer with an Xbox Live Gold membership.  Last month, a poll was set up to allow folks to pick their choice for a Deal of the Week, and the winner was Battlefield: Bad Company 2.  The deal has gone live this week, and you can nab the co-op Onslaught DLC for a mere 400 points, half off the normal price.

The votes have been tabulated, and the results are in: co-op rules.  A few weeks ago, Xbox Live Gold members had the chance to vote for their choice of potential deals on Live content.  The deal with the most votes was the DLC for Battlefield: Bad Company 2, including the 4 player online co-op addition, Onslaught mode.  Starting on October 18, this pack will be available for 400 MS points, or $5.  If you've been holding off on this awesome addition to the game, perhaps this deal will be enough to sway you.  It's nice to see a co-op piece of content rising to the top of the polls!

If you missed getting your hands on Battlefield: Bad Company 2 earlier this year, now's your chance to snag the game with all the included DLC - including the co-op mode -  for the "ultimate" price of $59.99 on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

This Week in Co-Op Nick and Jim take the latest Battlefield: Bad Company 2 DLC for a spin.  Called Onslaught the $10 dollar download adds a four player co-op mode to the game across four maps.  Each map is vastly different but offers the same objective of progressing forward and capturing strategic positions.

Battlefield: Bad Company 2's co-op mode, called Onslaught, is now available for purchase on Xbox Live and PlayStation Network.  The $10 / 800  add-on adds in a four player co-op mode on five maps - Valparaiso, Atacama Desert, Isla Inocentes and Nelson Bay.  

Electronic Arts has announced that Battlefield: Bad Company 2 will be getting its four player co-op DLC on June 22nd (June 23rd in Europe) for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.  The price will be $10 or 800 .  This content will allow players to complete objective based missions against enemy AI on specific maps from the game's multiplayer mode.  The content should also add new achievements and trophies.

Battlefield: Bad Company 2 was an excellent game by any account, but we couldn't help but feel the game's campaign needed a co-op element.  While we won't be getting that anytime soon, EA is bringing us premium DLC for the game called Onslaught.  Onslaught is a cooperative mode for four players on Valparaiso, Atacama Desert, Isla Inocentes and Nelson Bay.
