Will this patch fix the busted co-op of F1 2011?

F1 2011 Patch Now Live

In our co-op review of F1 2011, we gave it a disappointing 1 out of 5 for co-op, despite the fact that we judged it a cool 4 out of 5 for the overall score. This was simply due to the fact that at the time of review, the co-op was broken, broken, broken. Issues like players being dropped in their position at the end of a race are simply game-breaking. The good news, though, is that the patch that's directed to fixing all of our complaints about the co-op is now live! Not only will co-op issues be addressed, but performance, AI, and set-up issues are being fixed as well. You can check out the patch notes that we previously posted here. Some of you may also be interested to know that the online leaderboards for time attack and time trial modes will be reset due to a set-up bug fix. The reset is slotted for some time next week.

F1 2011 Co-Op Currently Broken - a Co-Optimus Investigation

Some of you may have been wondering where Co-Optimus' co-op review is for the now 3 week old F1 2011. Due to some game breaking issues in the co-op championship mode, the game is borderline unplayable with a pal. After the first game patch failed to solve the problems, Co-Optimus put on its investigation hat, exploration trousers and inquisitive undies to find out what was going on with the game and if a fix is being released.

F1 2011 Launch Trailer Looks Amazing

F1 2011 is one of the few titles brave enough to come out on the same day as Gears of War 3.  It probably helps that they are going for a totally different audience.  F1 2011 will take you through the Formula One season.  These guys turn left and right.  The launch trailer is full of those awesome slo-mo racing shots that are always so close to convincing me to buy a racing game.  And then I realize that 99% of my time will be spent sitting in the driver's seat, wondering where everyone else went.  Man, I am awful at racing games...

F1 2011 to Feature Local and Online Co-Op, Plus a Shiny New Video

Some new details have emerged for F1 2011's co-op campaign.  It's rare enough to find a racing game with co-op, but F1 2011 has something in store for online and local racers.  Yes, you can play a whole season with a teammate both online or locally via split screen.  Now you can get your "Shake and Bake" on in the same room.  Just remember to let your teammate win sometimes.  If you don't, he may just steal your woman, your house, and all your sponsorships.  Then you'll end up hanging out with Bill Lumbergh, who will force you to drive blindfolded while fighting a damn mountain lion, all in a desperate attempt to get your confidence back.  Or not.  Maybe that only happens in NASCAR.
