Go go go!

Serellan Announces Epsilon, Tactical Combat with Pre-Planning

If you ever played the original Rainbow Six titles (the PC ones from the 90s) - you know the best part about them was the planning phase. It was here you'd pick your team, equip them with gear, and then plan out a strategy that included routes, timing, and takedowns from a little top down tactical map. You could even run these plays without directly controlling your squad to see how well your plan would work. The recent indie game Door Kickers captured this feeling, but it missed the option to go in direct control.

We've been waiting for this day

Takedown: Red Sabre Out on Xbox 360

Takedown: Red Sabre has had a rocky launch, but this underdog may soon rise in the ranks. The Kickstarter-funded game originally set for PC and Xbox 360 once lived exclusively on PC while the publisher worked with Microsoft to navigate the its console launch. However, the day has finally come for 360 owners. The game that first launched in September for PC is now available for Xbox 360, and it's not the same version you may have played months ago.

Serellan Explains the Issues

Why Takedown: Red Sabre Still Isn't on Xbox 360

It's been almost a month since we've heard anything on Takedown: Red Sabre, the tactical shooter that came out for the PC earlier this year. It's a game we were pretty disappointed with, mostly due to bugs and quality issues. Along with the PC issues the XBLA version of the game was pulled right before release due to its own issues, but where do things stand now?

We're still having problems.

Takedown: Red Sabre Patched on PC, Free Copy of the Game Gifted for Troubles

We were incredibly disappointed by the launch of Takedown: Red Sabre. The game simply fell short of every promise it made. We had hoped to have a compact co-op tactical shooter that reminded us of an experience that has all but disappeared in gaming, but instead we encountered connectivity and AI issues. A new patch is out for the game fixing many problems.

Small patch out, more fixes incoming

Serellan Addresses Launch Issues for PC Version of Takedown: Red Sabre

Takedown: Red Sabre was a game I was personally excited about since playing it at E3 2013 earlier this year. I came from the Rainbow 6 school of gaming, I'm talking old school Rainbow Six 1 on the PC. Hardcore tactical shooters have a certain satisfying appeal and there is a large audience around them - so much so - that Takedown was successfully Kickstarted earlier this year.

Certification strikes again

Takedown: Red Sabre Out Today on PC, Delayed on XBLA

It was six months ago that Serellan put Takedown: Red Sabre on Kickstarter to fun a hardcore tactical shooter, one that would return to the roots planted by games like the original Rainbow Six or SWAT on PC. It's a hardcore co-op experience that requires teamwork and coordination to be successful. Today the game releases on PC, and though an Xbox Live Arcade version was planned to release at the same time, a last minute certification glitch has caused an indefinite delay.

No word on the effects of bullets to the brain, however.

Takedown: Red Sabre Teaches You about Bullet to Concrete Relations

Takedown: Red Sabre just couldn't let you go without another launch trailer before it drops the 20th of this month on XBLA and PC. Following in the footsteps of Rainbow Six, Takedown sprinkles a dash of tactics to the standard FPS. Teams of six to eight players will infiltrate and pick off enemies in non-linear levels, making effective communication a must. Rampaging through the level and tossing out lead like candy will only result in you taking several shots to the dome. You and your team will need to outmaneuver the enemies before eliminating them in order to maintain the element of surprise.
