If you enjoyed all of the Tom Clancy's The Division 2 there has been so far, and are eager to get a sneak peek at what's next and also play the PC version of the game, then fire up Uplay and go access the Public Test Server. The development team at Ubisoft has put up an early build of the forthcoming "Episode 1" content - which adds some new loot, two new missions, and a new gameplay mode titled "Expeditions" - and you can play through all of that for the next 24 hours.
The Public Test Server actually went live last week on the PC (and PC only), but Ubisoft slowly added more content and features to it over the course of that week, so now's a good time to get in and check everything out. The "Expeditions," in particular, sound pretty interesting. Here's how Ubisoft describes them:
Expeditions are free events that bring players to unexplored locations around D.C. to discover new narrative and gameplay opportunities. These sites offer unique challenges and lore not found anywhere else: new collectibles, treasure rooms, environmental puzzles, unique boss mechanics, and more await every Agent who embarks on our Expeditions!
Along with the new content, there are a number of updates and changes to existing features in the game that are planned for when Episode 1 finally arrives (i.e., these changes are not live in the game just yet and are part of the testing being done on the PTS). You can find the full notes of what's in the build on the PTS here.
Tom Clancy's The Division 2 is available on PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4. No word on when the Episode 1 content will arrive in full.
