Four player online, easy pick up gameplay, and graphics that just ooze style. Then the game was released, and our hopes and dreams were dashed. What we got was a great couch co-op title that severely lacked any workable online.

You didn't think we'd let a weekend go by without a Left 4 Dead post, do you? We've totally been enjoying the zombie killing co-op here at Co-Optimus HQ. One of the coolest parts of the game, in my opinion, are the achievements. The best achievements add even more value to a game, and that's exactly what Left 4 Dead's do. Play through a campaign with pistols only? Tough, but fun. Set a tank or witch on fire with a molotov cocktail? Ooh, that gives me the chills. Valve has done come interesting stats work on the PC version of the game, detailing what percentage of players have earned each achievement. Here's a few highlights.
Destroy All Humans: Path of the Furon is scheduled for release next week. On one system, anyway. It appears that another PS3 title has been canned due to "development issues". The game is still on track to be released for the Xbox 360, however. I can't recall the last time a game was canceled so close to it's actual release date. To alien-loving PS3 co-op'ers, we send you our condolences. To those who were looking forward to the latest title in the Destroy All Humans series on the 360, congratulations. Co-op details are unclear at this point, but we'll let you know as soon as possible. You may let the cow probing commence on December 1 for the budget price of 39.99. Way back in the middle of the summer, we gave you the first details about a quirky upcoming game called Flock. Now even more information has been made available. First of all, the game will be made available on XBLA, PSN, and PC sometime in January. Second, a batch of screenshots are available, including the one shown above. The game is described as a puzzler, and looks to be similar to Lemmings, with one important addition: co-op gameplay. Two players online or local can team up to abduct all those sheep and take them to your base ship, the Mother Flocker. (RIM SHOT HERE.) No price has been revealed at this time.
