PlayStation 3D Display with SimulView Launches November 13th

The first Sony TV with the much lauded SimulView technology will be available for purchase on November 13th worldwide.  The 24 inch 3D TV utilizes a set of 3D glasses for each player to create two distinct 2D images - thereby eliminating an actual split-screen setup and allowing both players to look at the full screen.  We had some eyes on time with the TV back at E3 and came away pretty impressed - but one thing has changed since then - the bundled game.

Payday: The Heist "Heat Street" Trailer

The latest video from Payday: The Heist focuses on the "Heat Street" mission.  I played through some of this caper last night, but it ended badly when my AI partners all decided to take a dirt nap at the same time.  That's what I get for playing with AI, I know.  I had a lot of fun playing with some random people later in the evening, and I'll be hitting up some Co-Optimus community members tonight for a more organized cooperative experience.  You know who you are.

Rocketbirds: Hardboiled Chicken Trailer Teases Co-Op

The PSN was updated with a nice selection of games this week.  One title that may have slipped under your radar is Rocketbirds: Hardboiled Chicken.  This launch trailer tells you almost everything you need to know.  Guns, chickens, jetpacks, and a semblance of a plot makes an appearance.  There's even a nod to the separate co-op mode at the end of the trailer.

Iron Brigade Braces for DLC in New Screens

What's cooler than a mobile trench?  That's right, a space mobile trench.  Double Fine's awesome third person mech shooter/tower defense game, Iron Bridgade, (originally Trenched) is heading to the cosmos in an upcoming batch of DLC.  The new content has yet to be priced or dated, but we do have a name and some swanky new pics.  Can we get a little drum role?  No?  Fine.  Be that way.

Final Two Dungeon Defenders Dev Diaries Prep Gamers for Launch

If we can trust the guy who does the weekly Co-Op Release Alerts, it would be safe to assume that Dungeon Defenders will launch tomorrow, October 19th, on the XBLA, PSN, and PC.  Today we bring you the final two developer diaries which will focus on RPG mechanics and game modes.  Trendy Entertainment packed a heck of a lot of game into a $15 dollar package.  There are numerous customization options and multiple game modes that will keep players busy for a very long time.  Did I see a Portal Gun?  Sweet!

Jet Grind...Mario? No, that's not right...

Sideway: New York Co-Op Review

I hadn't heard of Sideway: New York until very recently. It's one of those stealth titles that sneaks in with a fairly low profile, but when I read up on the premise, I got excited. A crazy platformer where you're always stuck to the surface of the platform? Nice! A graffiti theme? Double nice! I loved Jet Grind Radio! How does it actually hold up? Let's find out.
