With summer about to begin and outdoor activities presumably taking over much of the gaming community's time, PC gaming retailers hope to lure you back inside with enticing sales and impressive discounts. Several noteworthy co-op games are on sale this week, including this week's release of Magicka 2, where a 20% discount lives at the digital retailer GMG cutting the price down to $12.00. If you spring for the Deluxe Edition, it's also 20% off at GMG after coupon, dropping from $25 to $20. (Though honestly it doesn't look like the Deluxe offers much so you should probably skip).

Everybody gets a loot cave these days! Bayonetta 2 launched recently in North America for Wii U, and already somebody's found a way to hax the loot system. Three million halos in under six minutes, to be exact, which is some serious, serious looting.

Bayonetta 2, the guilty pleasure we love to indulge ourselves in but rarely discuss in polite company. The combat-slurry sequel is on its way to Wii U, and it's bringing with it a surprisingly appropriate Nintendo-themed bonus that's somehow even more mesmerizing than we thought it would be.

It's a musically inclined week this week for co-op gamers with not one, but two music video game releasing. On top of that we have a game coming out that I mistakingly though was out last week. 

Bayonetta 2 is slated for release next Friday, October 24, but if you're looking for some combo-riffic action in heels now, you can check out the demo on the Nintendo eShop. If that sounds like too much effort, then there's always a flashy new trailer to tide you over.

Nintendo's latest Nintendo Direct focuses solely on Bayonetta 2, revealing a new costume, as well as a brand new playable character in its co-op mode. Check out some awesome "Tag Climax" mode gameplay and see how playing with a partner will add a new element to the game.

Continuing the story from the first game, Bayonetta 2 will release October 24th for the Wii U. The retail version of Bayonetta 2 will include the first game in the franchise, which originally released for Xbox 360 and PS3. The European release is also set for October, though a specific date has not been announced.

It was over a year ago that a two-player mode for Bayonetta 2 was announced. Now, more details about it have finally been revealed a couple of months before the game launches. It's co-op (mostly), but with a bit of a competitive aspect as well. The mode's called "Tag Climax," and players can either select to directly invite a friend, do random matchmaking, or play with a bot.

Yesterday, Nintendo announced at their E3 presentation that Bayonetta 2, the sequel to hit action game by Platinum Games, would feature a 2-player mode. While some sources claim that "co-op" was announced, other sources state that simply "two-player mode" was mentioned. So while it's looking promising for co-op, let's hope we don't find ourselves in the "co-op" versus "multiplayer" semantic confusion that a lot of other people throw around (but not us, never us!).
