When the newest generation of consoles debuted at E3 two years ago, one of the biggest gripes players had about them was that previous titles were not supported. Toy Soldiers: Complete features the original game along with Toy Soldiers: Cold War and all the DLC packs released the last few years. Signal Studios estimates 60 hours of gameplay, which is a whole lot of quality toy time.
According to Xbox Live's resident Guru Major Nelson, Dead Island (normally $19.99) and Toy Soldiers: Cold War (normally $14.99) are available this month, free of charge, for any Games with Gold members. Games with Gold is Xbox Live's response to PlaystationPlus , offering free titles to any subscribers. True, PlaystationPlus does normally give access to a greater range of games, but two free games a month ain't so bad.
Beginning today Xbox Live Gold members will be treated to a 50% off sale of select Xbox Live Arcade titles. The Deal of the Week includes nine games total, five of which have co-op. All five of these games have couch co-op, which comes in handy if you have actual physical friends and family.
The folks at Signal Studios are releasing not one, but two DLC packs for the action/tower defense game Toy Soldiers: Cold War. It's a game we scored quite well calling it an "absolute blast" as we played through almost the entire campaign in a 5 hour couch co-op session. Now after a long wait since the last DLC, we're finally getting some new content to dig our little plastic soldiers into.

Toy Soldiers: Cold War was one of my surprise hits of this fall for co-op gamers. Sadly we'v been waiting for quite a while for the Evil Empire DLC for the game. A post on Signal Studios' Facebook page reveals the delay and simply states that more details about the content pack should be coming soon.
