River City Girls Zero Co-op Review

The River City/Kunio series has seen numerous installments over the years, but precious few of them received English releases until a few years ago. Once Arc System Works took over the license from the defunct Technos, more games starring Kunio and his buddy Riki started making their way out of Japan. WayForward’s release of River City Girls ...

Spidersaurs Co-op Review

The 1980s and 90s were home to numerous cartoons that existed primarily to sell toys to kids. Shows like Dino Riders and Jayce and the Wheeled Warriors featured bizarre/creative premises and plenty of merchandizing potential. WayForward draws from that legacy with Spidersaurs, a run-and-gun shooter with a goofy concept (genetically engineered spide...

Spidersaurs Will Run and Gun onto Consoles and PC on July 14

While it turns out that WayForward's RWBY: Arrowfell won't feature co-op, the same can't be said for another upcoming title from the fan-favorite indie developer. Spidersaurs is due to launch in less than two weeks, and it will definitely support 2-player local co-op. A run-and-gun shooter in the style of Contra 4 (which WayForward also developed), Spidersaurs is a game that fans of the genre won't want to miss.

The game, due out in the fall, is still looking good, though.

RWBY: Arrowfell Won't Be Co-op After All

Last summer, WayForward and Arc System Works announced their collaboration on an upcoming game, RWBY: Arrowfell. The newest game based on Rooster Teeth's CG-animated series will add to the plot of the show's seventh volume, complete with series-accurate voice actors and cinematics. RWBY: Arrowfell was first announced as featuring local and online co-op. A year later, we have a new trailer and gameplay details, plus a bit of bad news. Arrowfell will now be a single-player game when it arrives in the fall.

WayForward's Spidersaurs Will Escape to Consoles and PC This Spring

When Apple Arcade launched, it lured in many console game developers with timed exclusivity deals. One such developer is WayForward, whose Shantae and the Seven Sirens first came to Apple before arriving on consoles. Now, another WayForward title is set to graduate from Apple Arcade to mainstream platforms: Spidersaurs. The colorful run-and-gun shooter/platformer will feature 2-player local co-op, spiders, and dinosaurs when it arrives on consoles and PC later this spring.

Beyond Co-Op – September 2th through September 7th, 2013

Hitting up some of the news less traveled this week, Beyond Co-Op is here to give you a taste of the single player world. Nintendo has announced another lucrative price drop, and Valve rolls out another trading feature to help you trim your Steam inventory. A couple of rather nice games have appeared on Kickstarter lately, and even though we're shy about touching the crowdfunding world, these are too tempting to resist.
