Like a Robot In Disguise, this one sort of snuck by us undetected.  The second DLC pack for Transformers War for Cybertron is now available.  This pack is headlined by the inclusion of two new characters for competitive multiplayer and co-op friendly Escalation mode: the Decepticon speedster Dead End, and fallen Autobot champion Zeta Prime.  The pack also includes five new maps, two of which are for Escalation mode, "Pulse" and "Static".  Though there are fewer characters in this new content than the first pack, it will sport the same price, costing roughly $10.  You can check out the trailer to decide whether this DLC pack will stand or fall on its own merits.

This week in co-op Marc and Kat experience what happens when two generations of geek collide in the wonderful worlds of Transformers: War for Cybertron and StarCraft II. Two vastly different worlds, very different games, with one thing in common: great co-op times to be had in the fictional worlds of long ago made new again.

It's time for an Xbox Live Co-Op night, and in what's just past our two year anniversary of these events we've been doing with Microsoft, we decided to go big. Big. Hulking. Robots. That's right it's time to roll out and co-op through Transformers: War for Cybertron!

Now that the DLC leak has been officially announced, we have the official word on what comes with the Transformers: War for Cybertron DLC Pack. Actually, more like official YouTube video that shows off each of the DLC characters, and the two new Escallation mode maps.

Amazon's Gold Box deal of the day is none other than the recently release three player co-op, Transformers: War for Cybertron on both the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.  The sale price puts the game just over $40.  Not a bad deal for a game we gave a solid 4 out of 5 for its co-op review.  Remember, War for Cybertron not only has the three player co-op campaign for both Autobots and Decepticons, but it also has the four player escalation mode which is the game's take on the popular survival modes.

We love hearing about new things being added to the games we love, and Transformers: War for Cybertron is just one of those things. Recently, Xbox Live had a listing for new Transformers DLC that no one had heard of. The reason? It hasn't really been announced yet, but it sounds pretty cool.

There is much to love in War for Cybertron; the designers borrowed heavily from successful co-op franchises like Gears of War and Call of Duty, then added in a well-integrated transformation mechanic to create a title that is truly worthwhile in and of itself, notwithstanding the iconic robots.

Transformers:  War for Cybertron is out now with its 3 player co-op campaign and survival style co-op modes.  It actually hit earlier this week, but Activision decided to throw one more trailer our way to remind us we need to roll out to the nearest retailer and pick it up. 

There's only one significant co-op video game release this week, and it's perfect for fans of giant freakin' robots.  Transformers War for Cybertron appears to be the best Transformers game yet.  Three player online co-op is available for the two campaigns (Autobots and Decepticons), plus there are co-op skirmish modes, as well.  As a major Transformers nerd, I've got high hopes for this one; maybe it'll erase the painful memories of the last movie?  Who knows, but we'll have our hands on this game soon enough.  Anyone else planning to pick this up?  If you are, use the links above for a $10 credit at Amazon, and you'll help support other famous robots: namely, Billy, #1 and #2.

We're only a few days away from E3 2010 and there are plenty of co-op games coming out that we're excited to hear about.  While High Moon Studios, developer of the three player co-op action title Transformers: War for Cybertron, isn't slated to make an appearance at the expo as the title is only a couple weeks away from release, that's not stopping them from releasing an official E3 trailer.  Really giant robots, space laser beams, Peter Cullen, and more are shown off in this latest video for what we're hoping will be not only an awesome co-op game, but an awesome Transformers game as well.

"Which side are you on?"  While some of us have flashes to Marvel's Civil War story arc, High Moon Studios, the developer for the upcoming co-op Transformers: The War for Cybertron third-person action/shooter title, is wondering which side you and your co-op buddies will be choosing first: the Decepticons or the Autobots.  In a recently released video, some of the game's developers discuss how the campaign was developed specifically with an eye towards co-op play in mind.
 

For those of you who haven't heard yet, two more characters have been announced for the upcoming Transformers game, Transformers: War for Cybertron: Autobot Silverbolt and Decepticon Brawl. Next month, for the first time, you'll be able to "transform and roll out" with a friend.  Transformers: War For Cybertron will feature online drop in/drop out co-op through the entire campaign.  As we approach the game's June 22 release date, more characters and a few exclusives have come to light.
