Cuphead: The Delicious Last Course DLC and Controllers Coming This Month

Studio MDHR's Cuphead launched on Xbox and PC five years ago, eventually making its way to Switch and PlayStation as well. We all loved the game, even if it could be frustratingly difficult at times. All these years later, Cuphead is set to get a DLC expansion called "The Delicious Last Course" at the end of this month. To commemorate the long, long-awaited DLC, accessory manufacturer PowerA has also released special Ms. Chalice-themed controllers for Xbox and Switch.

Cuphead Gets A Surprise Release On PlayStation 4

Cuphead and its heavily stylized run'n'gun gameplay first landed on Xbox One and PC back in 2017, but it quickly became clear that the title's brilliant blend of cartoon aesthetics and unforgiving difficulty shouldn't be sequestered to Microsoft's corner of the industry.  In the time since, it's also been released on Nintendo Switch, and finally, the game has arrived on PlayStation 4.

[E3 2018] - Microsoft Press Conference Recap

Microsoft's E3 2018 press conference wrapped up just a few hours ago, and there were some exciting things announced, like a new Halo title, Dying Light 2, and Gears 5. While Microsoft Studios is making the right moves towards "hey, come check out our excellent console," it was a bit disappointing that they didn't have more to say about what they were showing.

Prepare to die in lots of adorable ways next summer.

Cuphead Has Been Delayed Into 2017

As a child watching reruns of old Mickey Mouse and Popeye cartoons, I constantly thought to myself, "Boy, this aesthetic sure would lend itself to a co-op arcade shooter with a touch of occultic charm", and up until yesterday, my dream was almost within reach.  I could practically feel my grip tightening around my controller as a hand-drawn foe murdered me for the forty-ninth time.   Alas, it appears Cuphead's blend of 1930's animation and comically tough gameplay will be eluding us for a few months more.

That'll be fun, right?

New Cuphead Gameplay Video Will Teach You A Thing Or Two About Mortality

Everyone will die, sooner or later.  For most folks, it'll just be the one time, but for those with, say, a cup for a head, or a body made of meat, it'll happen over and over and over until the creature controlling their fate is either overcome with mercy or screams and breaks their controller.  Sometimes both.  It's inevitable, regardless.  The pain.  The loneliness.  The overwhelming cold.
