"Today we're announcing that after many years of epic battles, we're closing Xbox 360 as a platform for Defiance 2013. This was not an easy decision for our team, but due to old technical systems, it became impossible to properly sustain the game."

The remastering process, handled by developer Sperasoft, means nearly facet of Steelport and its inhabitants has been given a might fine facelift to make the game sparkle and shine on current generation hardware.  As you might expect, the Remastered edition also includes the game's three expansion packs and over thirty pieces of DLC, meaning players can revisit the full experience.

That's right, folks!  As of today, Warface is available on the Nintendo Switch.  The porting work was accomplished by MY.GAMES' in-house studio, Allods Team, which also brought the game to the other two current-gen consoles.  Naturally, the Switch's iteration is substantially modified from the versions on its more powerful brethren, and the game runs at 30FPS/720p when docked.  Undocked, the quality drops to 540p to maintain a relatively crisp experience.

Thanks to the SEGA AGES series, Sonic the Hedgehog 2 will be available on the Nintendo Switch on February 20th.  As you're probably aware, the sequel to the original Sonic the Hedgehog introduced the ability for a second player to join in on the fun as Tails.  Looking back, this may not have been the ideal implementation of co-op gameplay, but it was certainly a great starting point.

The "Re-Elected" version of the 2013 sandbox hit was made specifically for the current generation of consoles and has now made the full circuit with its release on the Switch.  It features a startlingly large amount of DLC (25 expansions in total) and includes the two larger, story-focused packs:  "Enter the Dominatrix" and "How the Saints Save Christmas".

In addressing the patching and content additions Volition’s Senior Community Developer, Mike Watson, stated, “The four main things that we’re working on are: performance; stability, fixing a lot of the crashing and issues; integrating Steam networking, so co-op will work again and multiplayer; and then also adding the DLC, which was console-only and now we’re putting the DLC for PC as well.”

Come September 20th, the fruits of that hypothetical person's labor will arrive in both a physical and digital format.  If you missed the game on its first go-round, you'll have a fantastic opportunity this fall to dive back into the little dinosaur theme park that couldn't.  For a glimpse at all the cooperative platforming available to you, check out the announcement trailer, below:

Players will also eschew their pitiful human bodies in favor of the mechanical SEDs, humanoid robots each armed with an Arcus.  This new modular weapon has three unique firing modes and won't require ammunition, but it will need to be carefully monitored to prevent overheating.  Take a look at the trailer to see the Arcus in action:
