Last month, a small Australian developer called Timesea Studio announced that it would be making a Secret of Mana-style action RPG called Infinity Knights: Xross. Fundraising via Kickstarter was always the developers' plan, and now the Kickstarter campaign has begun. By donating to the campaign, gamers can preorder a console or PC copy of the game and some cool digital bonuses for cheap.
Starship Troopers: Extermination, the large-scale co-op shooter from Offworld, is due to fully launch on consoles and Steam in October. Focus Entertainment and Saber Interactive have revealed a slew of gameplay details for Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2, the upcoming sequel to the 2011 sci-fi shooter. This includes new information about the 3-player online co-op Operations mode, 6v6 competitive mode, and lots more. Taito Milestones 3 from ININ Games is due out on Switch later this year. When the collection was announced, ININ revealed 7 of the games planned for inclusion. One of those was Rastan Saga, the classic barbarian-themed action platformer. This week, ININ let slip that Rastan Saga II and Warrior Blade: Rastan Saga III will also be included. Both of those games are co-op, so Taito Milestones 3 will have at least 7 cooperative games in total!

Today's Nintendo direct was home to all sorts of cool announcements. For me, the coolest of them all was Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics, an upcoming collection of 7 of Capcom's classic Marvel arcade games. Six of those are fighting games, but the seventh is the co-op The Punisher beat 'em up! The collection is coming to PlayStation, Switch, and Steam. Xbox, for some strange reason, was left out of today's announcement.

Back when the 3DS still had an eShop, it was home to a series of downloadable games called The Denpa Men. That series will soon live on in the form of The New Denpa Men, an upcoming free to play game for Switch. While most of the game will be a single-player RPG, it does promise to have a feature in which 4 online players can team up to catch special Denpa Men.
The Donkey Kong Country series of platformers is delightful, but the games suffer from a lack of proper co-op. Nintendo and Retro Studios eventually released a proper co-op installment called Donkey Kong Country Returns for Wii and 3DS. A lot of gamers missed that installment, alas. Luckily, Nintendo has now announced Donkey Kong Country Returns HD for Switch, giving a fresh generation of players a chance to get our Donkeys Konged.
