We've all heard of movies based on video games; Resident Evil and Prince of Persia are two recent examples, and of course there are the Halo rumors, too.  But the next big video game movie might not be inspired by relatively new games.  Apparently, a script based on SNES/Genesis era classic Zombies Ate My Neighbors is being shopped around.  It's described as "Superbad plus Zombieland plus Home Alone" which actually sounds like a pretty good movie, once you think about it.

Kick, punch, it's all in the mind

Magicka received another patch this weekend, making it the 8th since the game was released two weeks ago.  This patch was a major one though with a primary focus on network optimizations.  This means your co-op games are less likely to drop/lag/suck.  As always the patches are auto applied once you fire up Steam.

The Infinity Gauntlet is a decent game on its own, especially when compared to the first Super Hero Squad title. But there's much more that could have been done to make The Infinity Gauntlet appeal to those who aren't fans of the license.

There's a new zombie game out now on PC, Mac and Linux - but its unlike any other zombie game on the market.  Atom Zombie Smasher is a new strategy game from developer Blendo Games, makers of Flotilla.  Atom Zombie Smasher is a strategy game that gives players an overview of a section of a city overrun by zombies. Players must select an evacuation zone and then protect it from zombies as they try to rescue a certain number of civilians per map.

It's looking like we've got a room full of slackers for the first week of this month, as only one of you brave community members was up to the task of creating an awesome Backlog blog. It's really easy - just head over to our Blogs and write one. We're not too picky on content as long as it stays somewhat on topic. I have to be honest.  I haven't played much Call of Duty: Black Ops since the Co-Optimus co-op night at the end of last year. After our co-op night I had a good handle on the Zombie mode.  By then I had thoroughly enjoyed playing the Combat Training with my wife, and I hit the mid-40 level on the competitive multiplayer mode.  I felt my time with the game had run its course. 

Sometimes it’s nice to see people take a different approach to a familiar medium. Paradox Interactive has done just that with the upcoming Tower Defense/RTS title Defenders of Ardania. Defenders of Ardania has a few tricks up its sleeve that are only accomplished thanks to the blending of strategy army building, tower defense tower building, and the ability to defend, or attack, or both if the situation calls for it.
