The Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria from Free Range Games and North Beach Games is a real "monkey's paw" situation. We wished for a new cooperative LOTR game, and we're getting one! That's good. But it will be a survival/crafting game in which players have to manage hunger and all that busywork. Not as good! Still, the game has a strong premise and a cool universe to its name, so we'll keep an open mind. Also, whereas Return to Moria was initially announced for PC only,  it will now be launching on Xbox Series and PlayStation 5 consoles too!

Last night our crew of four dove into the recently released Diablo II remaster, Diablo II: Resurrected. For many of us it was a trip down memory lane as we were all in our prime high school or early college age. It was a time when games actually were sold in stores in giant boxes and DVDs were considered cutting edge.

We've been overwatching Red Solstice 2: Survivors since we checked out the game's alpha a month ago. Now in its final form we dive into the full co-op experience with our squad of four to take on some of the single player story and into the meat of the game's skirmish mode. 

The Red Solstice was one of those hidden co-op indie games we adored a few years back, so it's great to see it getting a proper sequel. The long rumor has finally come to light. Blizzard is releasing a remastered version of Diablo II called Diablo II: Resurrected. And taking a queue from several other remasters like Halo, the game will offer the ability to flip between classic graphics and modern on the fly. The entire game has been remastered in a modified version of the Diablo 3 engine supporting 4K Resolutions.

For our first stream of 2021, we thought we'd take a little more chill approach. Reconnecting with nature and the world as we done our camo pants, spray ourselves with animal musk, and go hunting in theHunter: Call of the Wild. Full disclosure - none of us are hunters.

Just last week I mentioned to someone that demos "weren't really a thing" anymore. Though I suppose, when you think about it, alphas and betas have taken the place of those. But fret not - because The Red Solstice 2: Survivors is making demos sexy again by having a demo version of the game made available on June 16th. Even better, the demo is focused purely on co-op play with your friends!

Few games have captured the creative and adventurous hearts of gamers like the crafting and combat heavy Terraria. The title has managed to keep its longevity over the years with a steady stream of updates ever since its initial PC release back in 2011. However, it appears the newest update, “Journey’s End,” will possibly be one of the final (development) chapters in the long running saga that is Terraria.

The newest title update (6.1) arrives today for Tom Clancy's The Division 2, and in addition to the usual bug fixes and tweaks, the former hub of our nation's government will be getting some festive makeover. The "Situation: Snowball" event kicks off today and will run for the next few weeks. If you login anytime during the event, you'll receive a "Holiday Supplies Care Package" that includes three Standard Apparel Keys, three pieces of equipment, and (yep) a Santa hat.

Hold on to your tractors, folks, cause Farming Simulator 19 has a brand new upgrade available.  This new version of the game, titled "Platinum Edition", offers a premium experience for the discerning farmer.  No longer must players wade through the mediocrity of a standard farming experience, as the "Platinum Edition" is simply the cream of the virtual crop.

Sir Tom of Clancy's latest military psuedo-RPG has been the talk of town ever since its launch earlier this month.  Lest we forget, though, the Good Sir Clancy's other military psuedo-RPG is still alive and well.  To reinforce this fact, Ubisoft just dropped another significant content update for The Division 2.
