Things are going to work a little differently with this edition of This Week in Co-Op.  Every now and then, I get writer's block, and I just can't seem to get everything typed out.

One of the top metal bands of all time has entered the rhythm game wars.  Guitar Hero Metallica is set to kill 'em all, and we've got your review.  Does Metallica seek and destroy the competition, or do they merely fade to black?  And what about the co-op?  Would you be better off playing as one?  Don't get frantic, just read the review!

Capcom's Dead Rising 2 is not only proposing to show you 6,000+ characters onscreen at the same time...they're suggesting that at least two of those characters will be players.

It would be cliché of me to say I adore Fairytales, simply because I'm female. So, in order to balance that stereotype, I'll be encouraging the general abuse of Fairytale characters and woodland creatures in Fairytale Fights with enthusiasm. Playlogic Entertainment, Inc announced the Hack and Slash style Fairtytale Fights, where players don the role of their favorite Fairytale character to bloody up some bad guys.  

Details are beginning to trickle out today about Lost Planet 2 from Capcom.  The current Xbox 360 exclusive features a four player co-op mode that numerous members of the media got to check out last week at Capcom's Captivate event.

The first Marvel Ultimate Alliance game had comic book fans absolutely giddy.  So many classic characters, a huge variety of settings, and stellar co-op gameplay made for a great experience.  If there was one weakness, it was the somewhat random nature of the plot.  Then again, it's hard to argue with a game that lets you use a SHIELD Helicarrier's anti-air cannons against an ancient green dragon named Fin Fang Foom.

Warner Bros has just released a brand new trailer for the upcoming Terminator Salvation game on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.  The trailer shows off the game's 2 player split screen co-op mode.

FLOCK! is a game of herding, and abducting sheep in a challenging puzzle format. With an interesting art style, witty humor, and co-op play FLOCK! is sure to entertain most, but is it worth your dollar? Find out in our review.

Playstation 3 owners should be pleased to hear today that beloved franchise (and rightly so) Uncharted will sport a three player online co-op mission with the upcoming release of Uncharted 2: Among Thieves!

I've mentioned several times that I'd like to have a Playstation Portable (PSP) again. One of these days, I'll bite...probably just before PAX. I just need to keep in mind that when I do re-invest in a PSP, I'll have to grab a few games as well.

Call it recycling or any easy cash grab if you will, but there are lots of reasons to be excited about June release Guitar Hero Smash Hits.  Master tracks with the original artists and four player co-op including drums and vocals are the most obvious.  Remember, too, that for PS3 and Wii gamers, Guitar Hero 3 was the first title available.

Another one bites the dust.  Bethesda unleashed details today of the upcoming title Rogue Warrior, a title that was supposed to have a seamless four player co-op mode.  Unfortunately it appears that mode has been scrapped in favor of a tighter single player experience which follows the story of real life Richard "Demo Dick" Marcinko.
