Skylanders: Spyro's Adventure is Thunderstruck

If the movie Grandma's Boy has taught us anything, it's that people who work in the gaming industry love to put action figures all over their desks.  Now you can put them in your games.  We're not talking cards here, we are talking action figures!  Or statues.  Action Statues!  When you by a copy of Skylanders: Spyro's Adventure, you'll get the game, some cards (blah), three action statues, and a Portal!  The Portal will read a microchip on the underside of the toys, enabling you to play as that figure in the game.  There will be 32 total, so this has the potential to be a cash cow.  Each toy starts at level one and can be progressed through level ten.

Remember Gun Loco? It's Cancelled.

Gun Loco is cancelled? Whaaaa? How could this be?  I mean, look at the above photo.  For the sake of sanitiy, lets start with the man in the middle.  Stylized to be sure, determined, definitely.  How about the guy to his left? Okay, we have a case of Toriyama hair, but that's forgivable.  And now the gentleman with the green afro. Nope, nothing offensive here.  What about the guy with the crown?  He must be some sort of king.  I'm sure he will be portrayed with great dignity in the following video (spoiler alert: nope).  Then there's the guy with the bunny head and the suspendered diapers... oh, I give up.

New Operation Flashpoint: Red River Trailer Profiles Rifleman Sgt. William Kirby

Operation Flashpoint: Red River is coming out next month, and today we've got another trailer for you.  This one profiles Rifleman Sgt. Kirby.  He sounds like he needs a hug.  The hyper-realism the series is known for should remain in tact.  This is one of many OF: RR trailers we've brought you.  It seems like we've got enough footage for a feature film.  If you want to check them all out just look under the "Related Stories" heading.

Upcoming Games on Xbox LIVE Market Place

The Xbox LIVE Marketplace has plenty of co-opportunities this month.  Were more than halfway through March, and there's still a ton of gaming on the horizon.  Ghostbusters: Sanctum of Slime is coming out next week, and there will also be a deal on competitive and co-operative four player games, called Arcade Four-Play.  Is that right?  Really? My sources say, yes, it's called Arcade Four-Play.  Fantastic.  Don't forget, one of the best co-op titles from 2010, Halo: Reach, is coming to Games on Demand.  What are you waiting for?  Start converting you hard earned cash into Microsoft Points now.

Animales de la Muerte Coming to XBLA, PSN and PC

Sometimes a game is so bizarre in concept that it just immediately grabs our attention.  Animales de la Muerte has done just that, and probably grabbed the attention of PETA at the same time.  Developed by High Voltgage Software, creators of The Conduit 2, the previous Wii exclusive has been cancelled for that platform and moved over to the "next-gen" consoles and PC.
