Even more DLC is coming for NeverDead. I know! I'm as shocked as you are! Speaking of shocked, check out that guy in the header image. He looks like he should be holding coffe mug and a stapler. Looks as if NeverDead's accountant has been drafted into the demon war.
The hero of Konami's latest action title may be immortal, but he's still capable of losing a few body parts. With a sharp premise and even sharper wit, NeverDead certainly dares to be different. Find out if the online co-op stands out as well in our in-depth review.
NeverDead has been out for all of eight freaking days and new DLC has already been announced. The deftly titled "Expansion Pack Volume 1" will be released on February 21st for $9.99 on the PSN, or 800 Microsoft funbucks on the XBLA. It will include a new playable character for the game's co-op mode, additional challenges for the Asylum level, and new costumes for the main character, demon stomper Bryce Boltzman.
With today's release of Konami's newest title, NeverDead, comes a new trailer showing off some of the game’s unique play-style.
Almost a full month into the new year and we finally get our first retail co-op game. Konami's NeverDead kicks things off with it's twisted sense of humor. I mean, you get to play a dude who rips off his limbs and beats monsters with them - if that isn't funny, I don't know what is.
A new release of screen shots from Konami's NeverDead makes us want to try ripping off our body parts off in pure happiness.
Okay, that headline may be a little misleading. The screens are new, but the videos aren't necessarily hot off the press. I noticed we have yet to post any videos from NeverDead, and with the game's upcoming release, it seems like a good opportunity to show you guys exactly what this game is all about. I could just tell you about Bryce, the 500 year old demon hunter, and his uncanny ability to not die, but I think I'll just let you watch these vids instead. The first video is from E3 2010, and it captures the tongue-in-cheek tone of the game:
Third-person shooter NeverDead isn't out yet, but folks looking forward to the game's release may be interested to learn about some recently announced DLC. The DLC will add some small, but silly, optional changes to the game. The first of these is the "Desperate" ability which can be equipped by protagonist Bryce Boltzman. This ability makes it so Bryce deals more damage as he loses more and more limbs. So look forward to shooting for additional damage as just a torso and an arm, or rolling Bryce's head around on the floor. The second ability, "Cowardly Word" will simply make Bryce utter more voice over jokes during gameplay. The DLC will come free to players who pre-order the game at select retailers.
Konami have announced a release date for their upcoming action game called NeverDead. It's a game we saw at E3 that caught us a bit off guard, in it you play Bryce - an immortal character tasked with fighting off demonic incursions. Being immortal does have its downside, namely you can be torn limb from limb and "live" to tell the tale.
As many other gamers, when I hear the word “dead” in the title of an upcoming game I become a bit apprehensive. “Oh, another zombie game, whoop?” is how my brain often auto-reacts, and it was no different for NeverDead, an upcoming title from Konami. Interestingly enough, there isn’t really a single zombie in this game, and it’s the main character, Bryce, who is the subject of being "NeverDead." After a brief introduction to the game from a developer, I took my time with the 20 minute demo to get my hands all over Bryce and his very removable body parts.
