The donkey lady roams the plains once more

Red Dead Redemption Joins Backwards Compatibility List

If you were to ask me what one Rockstar game I would like to play again/see a sequel to, I'd interrupt you before you even finished the question. The answer is Red Dead Redemption, and based on recent sales numbers for the game, I'm not the only that feels that way. Part of my wish will come true soon enough as the game will be added to the Xbox One Backwards Compatibility list this Friday, July 8.

Once again co-op ruins story or some bullshit.

Grand Theft Auto V Won't Feature A Co-Op Campaign

Grand Theft Auto V, or GTA V, has been revealed in the latest issue of Game Informer and it looks to continue the Rockstar Games tradition of making open world games that push the boundaries of technology and story telling.  But one thing the team has yet to tackle is a true co-op campaign in any of their open world games.  Sure GTA 4 had some co-op missions and Red Dead Redemption took things a bit further with gang hideouts and free roam, but we haven't seen anything to the depth the team at Volition have done with the Saints Row franchise.

Red Dead Redemption just got some new pardners

Hey, hey, I Wanna be a Rockstar Games Collection Edition 1

Back in the days of the ZX Spectrum I used to buy huge collections of game called things like '15 Massive Hits for £10'.  On November 6th Rockstar are bringing back this tradition, but for $59.99, by bundling several of their games together and selling them at one price.  Rockstar Games Collection Edition 1 will house the co-op friendly Red Dead Redemption, but also Grand Theft Auto: Episodes from Liberty City, Midnight Club: Los Angeles Complete Edition and L.A. Noire.

Red Dead Redemption GotY Edition is on the Horizon

Don't own a copy of Red Dead Redemption yet?  Firstly, why not, its one of the best games this generation.  Secondly, fear not, as Rockstar Games have just announced the release date for the rumored Game of the Year edition; Oct 11th in the US and Oct 14th elsewhere.  The pack will contain the original game as well as all the paid and free DLC.

Most likely, yes.

Red Dead Redemption Getting a GOTY Edition?

It's been a long time since I last visited New Austin.  Red Dead Redemption's take on the American Western was one of gaming's highlights last year.  It appears Rockstar would like to give those of you who missed out a chance to cowboy up and hit the open trail.  The keen eyes over at Eurogamer spotted a Red Dead Redemption: Game of the a Year edition at the BBFC.  For those of you who don't know your European ratings board acronyms, (or are too lazy to use Google) that's the British Board of Film Classification.  The RDR: GOTY edition is said to have the Undead Nightmare DLC, but it's unknown if the other DLC's will be included.
