Wii Remote Plus Pack-In Game FlingSmash Has Co-Op

It was only a matter of time, we suppose.  Last year's Wii Sports Resort came with the Motion Plus accessory, making the Wii waggle even more accurate.  Now, we have a new version of Nintendo's controller, putting the two together, and it's rather appropriately named the Wii Remote Plus.  As with perennial sales powerhouse Wii Play, a controller/game bundle is going to be available, and that game is called FlingSmash.  It's a right-to-left side scroller, where a little round fellow named Zip is controlled by aiming the Wii Remote Plus.  As you can see in the above screenshot, the Wiimote representation in the lower corner updates in real time.  To make Zip move, you just fling the controller when the Wiimote is pointed the right direction.

Red Dead Redemption Update Eliminates Grief

Rest easy, cowpokes - a new title update is live for both the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions of Red Dead Redemption. Among other things, this update adds a new Free Roam mode to the playlist: Friendly Free Roam.  What exactly is so "friendly" about the new mode? Well, the main draw is that player-to-player damage is completely eliminated. Yes, we know all too well how to properly deal with griefers...but that's downright unneighborly.

PSP Go Price Slashed

When Sony launched their PSP Go -  a disc less based PlayStation Portable which focused on digital content - many were shocked to hear it was a full $80 more expensive than it's disc based counter-part.  Today Sony has almost remedied that situation by cutting the price of the system to $199 in the US and to 16,800 Yen ($208) in Japan.  Previously the system was $249.99 in the US and around the equivalent of $335 in Japan.
