We're enjoying a Ghostbusters renaissance nowadays, with new movies on the horizon and multiple fresh video games to play. Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed has some spooky co-op features, and now virtual reality platforms are getting in on the action as well. Ghostbusters: Rise of the Ghost Lord from nDreams and Sony arrived on Meta Quest and PlayStation VR2 a short while ago, and it looks like an extremely immersive way to bust ghosts with friends.

Toplitz Productions' Medieval Dynasty just got a co-op update on Steam, and now the publisher has another co-op title in store for the future: Vampire Dynasty. This one comes from Polish developer Mehuman Games and will seemingly have less of a focus on survival mechanics. Up to four online co-op players will team up to explore an open world, fight vampire hunters, and work to ensure the supremacy of their vampire clan.

Medieval Dynasty, the medieval survival simulation from Render Cube and Toplitz, has been in early access since 2020, and leaving EA in 2021. Over the years, the game has grown quite a bit, but the latest update is its most significant. It adds a whole new map, playable female characters, and 4-player online co-op. The update is only available on Steam right now, but it will arrive on current-gen consoles and other PC storefronts next year.

Green Hell VR is the virtual reality version of the popular survival game, Green Hell, from Incuvo and People Can Fly. Co-op multiplayer has been a long-requested feature, which makes sense since the first game received co-op about a year after its release. Happily, Incuvo has finally shared some co-op details and a trailer for Green Hell VR. The co-op update will come to both the Meta Quest and PlayStation VR2 versions of the game sometime in 2024.

Raising cute little critters is inarguably a good time - just look at the Slime Rancher series for evidence of the pastime's popularity. Slime Rancher ain't co-op, though, so there's plenty of room for improvement. Time to Morp from Team Halfbeard and Yogscast Games is a game that does just that, letting four online or LAN co-op buddies team up to raise a bunch of cutesy morps in their own alien colony.

Last month, Italian developer Poncle promised that Vampire Survivors would be getting a new mode called Adventures, and that mode has now been added to the Xbox and Steam versions of the game. That would be exciting enough, but the developer also announced that new Last of Us-themed DLC called "Emergency Meeting" will be released on December 18. Vampire hunters will be busy this month!

Proper light gun shooters are a rare thing nowadays, but one place the genre lives on is in the world of virtual reality. On Meta Quest, Crisis Brigade 2 is one such popular shooter. There will soon be another thanks to Thunderful Publishing and Sigtrap Games have just announced a light gun-style game of their own called Under Cover. It promises Ti...

We're always excited for the chance to return to Middle Earth, even if the style and quality of the games based on Tolkein's LOTR universe vary wildly. The Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria from Free Range Games and North Beach Games first launched on the Epic Games Store for PC, and now the PlayStation 5 version is finally available as well. Are you ready to descend into the mines of Moria with your online co-op friends?

A few days ago, Atari announced a major update for Atari 50: The Anniversary Celebration. This came as a surprise because the collection has already been out for a year, but it seems that Atari has a series of content updates planned for it. The first such free update arrived this week and adds 12 games to the collection, including 11 Atari 2600 titles and one Atary Lynx game (yay!).

Contra: Operation Galuga is the next entry in Konami's longrunning Contra series of run-and-gun shooters. We recently interviewed WayForward about the upcoming game, learning lots of cool development and gameplay details. Still, WayForward had even more tricks up its sleeve, as the developer has just released a new trailer and announced even more exciting information about Operation Galuga, including additional playable characters and modes.

Way back in January of 2022, German publisher ININ Games announced that it would be releasing Clockwork Aquario on Xbox. 23 months then passed with no release in sight, so we thought the game had been quietly canceled. Amazingly, though, Clockwork Aquario is actually coming out on December 7! What's more, ININ is also releasing Pocky & Rocky Reshrined (also co-op), Cotton 100%, Panorama Cotton, Ultracore, and Irem Collection Vol. 1 on Xbox on the same date!

Atari 50: The Anniversary Collection is a massive collection of games and bonus content from Atari and Digital Eclipse. The collection already boasts over 100 classic games, 9 of which are co-op, but it's about to get even bigger. On December 5, the free "Holiday Content" update will add 12 more games. What's more, Atari plans to release more updates in the future.
