The last piece of DLC coming to Call of Duty: Ghosts is out today. Titled Nemesis, the fourth DLC pack features new multiplayer maps and the conclusion to Extinction, Ghosts' episodic co-op mode.
Last summer a charming little co-op puzzle platformer called Wyv and Keep: The Temple of the Lost Idol made its way onto PC. The game found you and a co-op partner guiding the titular heroes through an ancient jungle ruin in search of treasure. Though it was initially only available for purchase through the game's website or Desura, this Friday it will be available on Steam.
Last night the Co-Opticrew assembled their battleframe squad and dove into the world of Firefall, the recently released free to play shooter from Red 5 Studios. We had a variety of characters to show at different levels as we romped around the opening areas of Copacabana taking on random missions and thumping until we couldn't thump no more!
A new patch is out now for Sniper Elite 3 on PC that allows co-op play in the two available DLC missions: "Hunt the Gray Wolf" and "In the Shadows." Both sets of DLC previously were only available in single player despite the main game featuring co-op play through the entire campaign.
Crytek announced a brand new title this year at E3, being Hunt: Horrors of the Gilded Age, a four-player co-op action shooter where you defend the 1800's against hordes of evil, and showed off Homefront: Revolution, a four-player open world shooter sequel to the middling Homefront. Ubisoft has made the ultimate call on some of its older titles. While online connectivity has been compromised for a few of these games in the past, (such as stripping out Xbox Achievements and PS3 Trophies) they're finally getting the full on multiplayer-ectomy. Ubisoft is bringing down the online servers and striking them from U-play on August 8th.
