This week was both a highlight and a low light in America as we held our presidential elections.  Obviously it's a great thing to see a country vote for its leadership and democracy in action.  But it was ugly as friends, coworkers, and gamers alike turned on each other with nasty vitriol after the outcome.  Needless to say it's a good thing we had Halo 4 to distract us.

This week in Indie-Ana Co-Op, A Jolly Corpse steps up to the microphone to share with us their own story of how two plucky adventurers can bring out the best (and at times, the worst) in us, all in the name of cooperation.

Everyone should probably take a break from shooting dudes in the head and take a look at what Junction point has in store with Disney Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two. The latest video is a quick glimpse into what Mickey and Oswald can do when they combine their co-op powers. 

Too Human developer Silicon Knights has been locked in a legal battle since 2007 with Gears of War developer Epic Games.  The lawsuit was in regards to engine licensing and support and was originally filed by SI, but later counter sued by Epic Games.  Needless to say it was an ugly battle, one in which Silicon Knights eventually lost.  While initial damages were set to cost them $4.45 Million, it appears things are even worse.

Dungeonland is a new action / RPG from developer Critical Studio and published by Paradox Interactive.  The game has a unique twist on the standard formula, adding a theme park like setting mixed with fantasy characters to the traditional loot based ARPG formula.  The game is set to come out early next year, but right now you can get a chance to check out Dungeonland by signing up for the closed beta.

There is an eternal war that has raged since the very dawn of time.  Two colossi throwing boulders at each other like the mythological beasts from The Giant's Causeway - PC versus Mac.  PC won a round when they received the fantastic Borderlands 2 first, but now Mac is on the attack with the game arriving November 20th - FIGHT!

Publisher Deep Silver is most well-known for their co-op zombie killing ARPG, Dead Island, and the upcoming sequel-ish/spin-off Dead Island: Riptide. However, they are also responsible for the recent revival of Sacred 2: Fallen Angel and the forthcoming side-scrolling brawler that's set in the same universe, Sacred Citadel. This cooperative adventure seems to promise all the fun action you yearn for from the "golden" age of gaming, but perhaps minus the frustration, with some slick visuals to boot. In the latest video, we get to see these visuals in full effect as Deep Silver presents the Safiri Warrior... and some dubstep.

An interview over at Playstation Blog with Visceral Games producer Steve Papoutsis takes us through the choices behind their decision to include co-op instead of competitive multiplayer in Dead Space 3.

The Magical Drop series may not be very well known in North America, where only a few games have been released. But in Japan, it was a proud series that ran from 1995 all the way up until creator Data East went out of business. G-Mode bought it up (along with Bad Dudes and other IPs) and produced Magical Drop Touch for iOS and Android. Several years later, the new HD sequel Magical Drop V comes from French developer Golgoth Studio (makers of the long-delayed Toki Remake) and publisher UTV Ignition. For the first time in the series (that we know of), this one even has co-op play!

  Anarchy Reigns just keeps getting better and better. Today Sega announced Limited Edition copies of the game will come with Day One DLC. The bonus for pre-ordering the game nets fans Bayonetta as a playable character as well as two new mulitplayer game modes.  ...

Everyone is happy over at Blizzard HQ.   The sun is shining, birds are singing, the rainbows are out.  And their game, Diablo 3,  just sold 10 million copies in less than 6 months.  Holy moly.
