Back in the days of yore, Runescape was a popular fantasy MMO. Actually, it's still pretty popular on Steam in the forms of Oldschool Runescape and regular Runescape. Well, now there's a new flavor in town: Runescape Dragonwilds has just launched on current-gen consoles and PC after a period of early access. This one's a cooperative open-world survival RPG instead of an MMO. With 4-player online co-op, cross-play, and lots of stuff to do, Dragonwilds looks like a pretty big deal for both returning fans of the 'scape.

June brings lots of announcements from the big game publishers every year, and this one is no different. Microsoft's Games Showcase was stronger than usual, but what about the Big N? Well, Nintendo adopted a "more is more" approach with today's Nintendo Direct, showcasing dozens and dozens of games for brief periods of time. There are definitely lots of games to get excited about, including the impending Star Fox, Nintendo Switch Sports Resort, and the remake of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time!

It's fun to be tiny in a full-sized world, as proven by movies like Honey: I Shrunk the Kids and games like Microsoft's Grounded. Smalland: Survive the Wilds from Merge Games is an early access game for PC that casts players as tiny Smallfolk in a big, dangerous forest. The game supports up to 10-player online co-op, and the Steam and Epic versions can play together.

Over the past 20 years, there have been a number of action-RPG titles that fall in line with the reductive/encompassing idea of "Monster Hunter-like." The latest entry into this field - Wild Hearts - comes from Koei Tecmo and Omega Force and published by Electronic Arts, and it shows a lot of promise... if it can just get out of its own way.

Year 2 of Ubisoft's planned content updates for Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildlands comes to a close today with Special Operation 4. This update includes a number of new goodies, like new PvP maps, a number of updates, and a whole new PvE mode called "Guerrilla." Yes, it is wave-based survival.

Ghost Recon Wildlands is pretty deep into its second year of scheduled content drops, much of which has been available at no cost to its players.  Special Operation 3, a new themed co-op mission, will be no different when it arrives for free on December 11th.

The folks at Ubisoft are bringing back everybody's favorite stealth operative: Sam Fisher. Tomorrow, a big update will drop for Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildlands, officially kicking off their Year 2 content, that will add a special PvE mission for you and your Ghost squad to tackle. While the mission will be available in the game for the foreseeable future, there are special rewards you can only earn if you complete it within the next month.
