If not by now, Xbox One owners will be prompted to download Microsoft's latest update for the system tonight. Many of the new enhancements were suggested by the community as a whole, slowly but surely making a difference in the system's evolution.
My other appointment with 2K Games this year at PAX East 2014 was for Evolve, an upcoming squad-based game by Turtle Rock Studios, makers of Left 4 Dead. After lots of talk over the last several months, Iron Galaxy Studios, Gearbox Software and 2K have finally stamped a release time for the PS Vita port of Borderlands 2: May 2014. It's about a year and a half after the game's original release, but portability might just be worth the wait.
While Xbox players have been enjoying Call of Duty: Ghosts Devastation DLC for quite some time, PC and PlayStation owners will be able to dive in just over a month after its release. Launching on May 8th, the Devastation DLC features four new multiplayer maps and a new Extinction co-op level. A new weapon known as the Ripper, a hyrbid rifle that can switch between a SMG and an assualt rifle, is also included and is currently available for Season Pass owners. The pack also includes an appearance from the Predator, based off the 1980's action film of the same title.
Just when you thought you had seen the last zombie game ever (just kidding, who would ever think that?), along comes Zombies Monsters Robots. It plays a little like Gears of War, the publisher calls it a sequel to Mercenary Ops, and it has online co-op confirmed for at least eight players. Oh, and it's being developed by Yingpei Games, a studio that was once known as Epic Games China.

The newest developer diary from Rebellion, the studio behind Sniper Elite III, provides some much welcome details into the co-op specifics of this upcoming title. Michael How, Lead Designer at Rebellion, states that co-op is a major part of the game, allowing every single player mission to be played with a partner online. In fact, going at it with a team of two may make things a little easier, as most tanks have vulnerable targets in their rear. While one player essentially acts as bait, the other can flank the tank's position to take it out.
This past weekend at PAX East 2014, I had the chance to see a demo of the newly announced Borderlands: the Pre-Sequel. Since the game was so freshly announced, the demo was a hands-off affair, but there was still much to see and learn about the newest installment to the Borderlands series.
Zombie Hunter Inc from Maya Gameworks is a rough and gruff shooting game that's all about making big gooey piles of zombie corpses. Er, un-reanimated zombie corpses, that is. Inspired by the likes of Castle Crashers and Seal Hunter, you have seven minutes to stave off the hordes. Use the cash given to you by the sheriff to purchase better guns, all so you can head back out there and kill zombies even faster.
A few week's back Co-Optimus showed you images that allowed you compare your size to that of Optimus Prime in his Transformers: Rise of the Dark Spark guises. Needless to say we are puny. Now Bumblebee has buzzed into action in this new trailer for the game that shows off a couple of his character models and some in game action.
