Unless, that is, you include bonus DLC, like extra levels or all the things that need to be done after a cross-country move. The modern remake of the classic game series, Bubble Bobble, has finally made its way to the Nintendo Switch. Bubble Bobble 4 Friends lets you trap and pop your foes with up to four players on your couch (thus the name) so even more buddies can enjoy the bubble-popping fun. Borderlands 3 has launched Mayhem 2.0 today, changing the end game content for the better with significant changes to what happens after you complete the campaign. Mayhem increase the chances of getting awesome loot drops, in exchange for extreme difficulty challenges.

Earlier this year, Arc System Works released the Double Dragon & Kunio-kun Retro Brawler Bundle for modern consoles and Switch, bringing heaps of NES beat ‘em up goodness to Sony’s console. It looked like Xbox owners would be left out of the fun, but that has thankfully changed today. Seven of the games from the Retro Brawler Bundle are now available as $5 individual downloads on Xbox One. At last, Microsoft fans can play Double Dragon II, Double Dragon III, and River City Ransom in local and online co-op! While the Xbox Store page does list Double Dragon as having co-op, since this is the NES version of the game, it actually does not offer cooperative play - instead it's a two player versus mode.
The Co-Opticrew is both movin' and shakin' this weekend, and we won't stop until we get what's rightfully ours. On the movin' front, that means a new house and a new life. Sometimes I like to be pleasantly surprised when I read about a game that I wasn't following. StarCrossed from Contigo Games seems to fit that bill. The SHMUP genre of the game caught my eye, but when I read about its co-op focus I was really intrigued. I may not be a huge fan of the "magical girl" aesthetic, but I'm willing to give it a try.
