The Fuse "launch" trailer is now live. The game doesn't come out for like a week and a half so that's... weird. Why do I have the feeling there's going to be another trailer? The video offers a sliver of back story and features the prerequisite cool weapon footage and an abundance of explosions, faceless bad guys, and exploding faceless bad guys. I know, I know, it's still not Overstrike, but it looks like it has potential to be a pretty decent squad-based shooter. 

There's a playable demo out today for Army of Two: The Devil's Cartel on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. The 1.64GB demo gives you a chance to check out the game's two player online or couch co-op action as you drop into the shoes of the two new protagonists - Alpha and Bravo.

Omerta: City of Gangsters is a complicated game with many interesting facets set in a prohibition era Atlantic City. While we loved the setting, the strategy, and what the game tries to do; the sum of the pieces seemed to miss being a cohesive whole. The biggest complaint our reviewer had was related to the game's combat system, they found it a bit frustrating and shallow at times. Luckily it seems developer Haemimont have heard fan feedback and is preparing a major patch for the game.

The "exclusive" Dead Space 3 demo was released yesterday on Xbox Live, that is if you managed to get a code for it.  Last night Andrew and I tackled it head on, myself jumping into the boots of Isaac Clarke and Andrew playing as John Carver.  While I'm a Dead Space veteran having played both the original games, Andrew has only brief familiarity with the series.  

Dead Space 3 launches on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC on February 5th, but console gamers will be able to get their hands on a demo for the game on January 22nd.  Of course it wouldn't be modern gaming without some sort of hoop or pre-order bonus for access, so if you want to check out the demo a week early on January 15th, you'll need to head to http://demo.deadspace.com and sign up for early access.

Soldak Entertainment have released a demo for Drox Operative, a space ship combat RPG for the PC.  While the game isn't exactly like "Diablo in space," it does remind me of another classic PC game - Star Control.  It's a little less twitch based, but there's huge galaxies to explore and lots of ship to ship combat to engage in. 

A playable demo for Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two has hit Xbox Live and PlayStation Network allowing gamers to check out the two player co-op adventure game.  The demo takes place in the early levels of the game which features the tutorial and several other sections, including the magical laboratory of the sorcerer, Yen Sid.  Oh, I see what you did there.  

Last year, Dance Central 2 received a two-song playable demo shortly before the full game's release. This year it's happening again, as Dance Central 3 now has a an advance demo of its own. Clocking in at a larger 1.6 Gigabyte download this time, the new demo offers three danceable songs plus both competitive and cooperative multiplayer modes. Isn't it about time you put your Kinect to use once more?

In two short weeks Resident Evil 6 will once again be infecting the gaming community. Players who picked up Dragon's Dogma were introduced to the latest installment in the survival horror third person shooter franchise in an exclusive demo. Now everyone can get in on the action. Today the Resident Evil 6 public demo is available to anyone with an internet connection and an Xbox 360 or Playstation 3. 

Those of you lucky enough to have gone to Gamescom this year may have had the chance to play the new demo for upcoming 2 player co-op title Army of Two: The Devil's Cartel.  VG24/7 happened across the demo and posted over eleven(ty) minutes of footage for the game and it looks good.

Diablo 3's "demo version" is now available to the masses, after previously only being available via a special code included with retail copies of the game.  Dubbed the Starter Edition, it allows you to fight your way up to the Skeleton King boss in Act I, and level up to 13.  Starter edition accounts can be upgraded to the full version of the game, though, you are limited in certain features sets until you purchase.  For instance, match making is unavailable for co-op play in the starter edition.

Robot Entertainment have announced that a demo is available for their upcoming game, Orcs Must Die! 2, on Steam.  The action/strategy ame is slated to be released this coming Monday, July 30th.  The demo contains two of the early levels, fully playable in co-op as either the War Mage or Sorceress.  You'll also get a taste of a handful of the new traps and other whizbang things available in your arsenal.

Rebellion's Sniper Elite V2 is set to release on consoles and PC on Tuesday, May 1 - less than two weeks from now. If you've been wanting a realistic sniping game and are eager to try it out, the freshly-released PC demo should cure what ails ya. A free download on Steam, the demo shows off the game's impressive graphics, realistic and methodical gameplay, and unparalleled killcam.

Patience is a virtue. It’s also for greybeards who don't mind waiting whilst the rest of us rock out to some Mass Effect 3 demo footage. The demo is due out on the 15th February for Battlefield 3 online pass owners and the 17th for the rest of us. A YouTube user has provided over 50 minutes of footage of the demo. Beware these videos contain more spoilers than a Pimp My Ride reunion.

With money currently tighter than a screw after a World's Strongest Man DIY Challenge, a demo is a great way of checking out a game before buying it full price. On the Xbox 360, single player demos can be tried by all (eventually), but multiplayer demos are only accessible to Gold members. No Mass Effect 3 co-op demo for you! That is until Microsoft announced limited Gold access for Silver members who try out the Mass Effect 3 demo.
