New Co-Op Game Releases - November 14 Edition

We're getting ever closer to the holiday season and that means the bigger game releases are starting to wind down for the year. This week, we've got LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2 on all the modern platforms, Rocket League on the Switch, and Star Wars: Battlefront II on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One, though it's worth noting that only the console versions of the game support co-op per our site's definition.

Details on Call of Duty: WWII Nazi Zombies Finally Revealed

After getting teased over and over again about the co-op zombie mode in the forthcoming Call of Duty: WWII, developer Sledgehammer Games has finally given up the goods. The "Nazi Zombies" mode will be released alongside the game on November 3 and the team has been working to make a "frightening world full of terrifying characters and events that will make you jump and look over your shoulder."

Soul Sacrifice Video Features Four Minutes of Savage Spell Casting

Soul Sacrifice looms ever closer, now just a few short months away. I finally got my hands on the Japanese language demo and took it for a spin. Comcept's third person foray into spell casting fueled by self mutilation is a wild ride. Once again I was instantly reminded that I still can't read Japanese. You think I'd get on that. Lucky for me, my badass menu navigation skills are universal. I battled my way through the menus until I got to the real meat of the game. If you have an extra Vita memory card and a Japanes PSN account I highly recommend checking it out.

Exclusive outfits! Magical Items! Japanese voice-overs?

Souls Sacrifice US Release Date, Pre-order Bonuses Revealed

Soul Sacrifice finally has an official release date. The four player cooperative game will be available in retailers and downloadable through the PlayStation Network on April 30th. Set in a dark fantasy world, players must sacrifice objects to harness magical spells. The more valuable the item, the more powerful the magic.  "Swordmaster's Seedlings" and "Giant's Bones" are good for basic combat, but what happens when you are faced with a truly  daunting enemy? Maybe you'll have to sacrifice one of your own limbs, or another player -- maybe even yourself.

Maybe this time they won't suck.

Earth Defense Force 2025 Will Feature Co-Op Vehicles

Earth Defense Force 2017 didn't have much going for it when it came west back in 2007. It didn't look very good, it was rather repetitive, and the vehicles were an uncontrollable nightmare. Still, it won a place in many gamers' hearts, including my own. It was moderately successful, and became a cult classic. EDF 2017 was recently ported to the PlayStation Vita. We'll post a review on that version tomorrow. It's also getting a proper sequel, titled Earth Defense Force 2025. I don't know if the vehicles will be any better, but one things certain, there's a lot of them.

Earth Defense Force 2017 Portable Out Next Month

Earth Defense Force 2017 Portable will be out early next year. How early? How about January 8th, which is just in time to catch the trade-in rush from all those single playthrough games you got for Christmas. This announcement literally doubles our title count for co-op games coming out in January. Hopefully some more games pop up, or it's going to be a long a winter.
