Come on, April, you're killing me. After a stellar March we're still limping through this dud of a month. Game quality has been okay-ish, but the quantity of co-op games has been dreadful. We've got two games coming out this week. Ones features zombies, the other has dinosaurs. Ninja Gaiden 3 had a zombie dinosaur, and we all know how that worked out.
Everybody stay calm! You may have noticed that you're having difficulty logging into the PlayStation Network today. Online gaming, the PlayStation Store, PlayStation Home, and the ability to access and manage your accounts are all offline. This is part of scheduled maintenance. Obviously, online co-op has been disabled for all of you favorite PlayStation 3, PSN, and Vita games. How long will the system be down?
This one has me a bit confused. The title of the game is called Majestic-12 and it's a retro style co-op action game. Sweet I thought, that could be pretty chaotic with twelve players. As I continue to read the description I read it says only four player co-op, ok, still cool in my mind. But I read on and learn that you are one of only two surviving members of a group called the Majestic 12. Let's dig deeper into this XBLA and PC game, shall we?

As we inch closer to a May release of a certain game, some of the staff felt it would be wise to play a 10 year old prequel to celebrate. Others will be diving into Mass Effect 3 and its new co-op content and one staff member is determined to go to the hospital with a dislocated shoulder. Surprisingly not many of us are playing FEZ, the Indie darling that came out on XBLA today. That may change though. Ahhh...Spring.
With only a few weeks away until its release, Blizzard will be initiating another huge release of Diablo III beta keys, giving the lucky beta-testers a chance to play the game before its upcoming May release.
It's been a little while since we've covered A Virus named Tom, an upcoming cooperative/competitive puzzle game from indie developer Misfits Attic. Players work together (or against one another) to complete circuits and spread a virus... named Tom. Today we have two new videos for you: the first is the intro scene from the actual game, the second is a dev blog that shows off several different controller configurations for four player local co-op on a PC, plus a few other things. Welcome to the Season 2 premiere of Good Coop. Bad Coop. - a tale of two three friends who love playing games together. After taking a break from from killing insects in Earth Defense Force: Insect Armageddon in the last season, our co-op friends are ready to try their hands in another game - Call of Juarez: The Cartel.
We've been sitting on this story for a while, trying to dig up details on it, but alas we've only got a little bit to go on. Epic Games' China group is developing a 3rd person shooter on the PC aimed at hardcore gamers utilizing the Unreal Engine 3. The game is called Mercenary Ops and it'll feature both competitive versus and co-op gameplay.

Bad news, lost souls of Boletaria! Demon's Souls servers are going offline forever next month. Atlus has announced a server shutdown before, but I think they really mean it this time. If you decide to fire up your copy of Demon's Souls you'll be greeted with the following message:
Last weekend at PAX East, I had the opportunity to check out TERA, an upcoming action MMO. Buzz has been in the air about TERA for quite some time, but it was only last weekend that I had a chance to go hands-on with it.
