After what was called an "indefinite delay," Watch Dogs: Legion co-op mode is now available on PC alongside the already release co-op mode available on consoles. Alongside of this is the release of the Tactical Ops Missions, raid-like scenarios are bigger and more challenging end game activities that Ubisoft suggests only groups of four or more take on.
Serious Sam 2 has been out for 15 years, but that hasn't stopped developer Croteam from adding to the game to celebrate the Serious Sam franchise's 20 year anniversary. The new content includes a weapon, a dozen multiplayer maps, and several quality of life improvements.
We've already had an extensive hands on preview with It Takes Two early last month. The game, if you didn't know, is a co-op platformer and adventure by Hazelight Studios. You can read all those detailed impressions here and here. Our latest stream of the game is actually covering a lot of the same topics - but having had a chance to reflect on some things, our opinion may have changed...slightly.
Did you see that?! Holy Moly! More than 70 (!) new co-op releases across various platforms in March - including some very high profile titles like Monster Hunter Rise, Balan Wonderworld, It Takes Two as well as the start of the Open Beta (PC-only) for Magic: Legends and the long-awaited co-op patch for Watch Dogs: Legion. It's safe to say that there was (and is) something for everyone with their friends and family to enjoy.
We're back with another stream of Valheim, the online co-op survival game featuring Vikings, boars, deer, and now...trolls! Our stream starts just after a giant troll literally demolishes our hard work from last stream. Killing the "door" house. Thankfully Locke is able to get revenge as we run around like chickens on the dinner menu.
The We Were Here series has gone strongly for several years now and garnered a solid reputation for cooperative head scratching and puzzle solving. If you feel your walkie talkie finger has been itching since the release of We Were Here Together, then boy howdy, do I have good news for you.
As is becoming increasingly common in this era of gaming, the Co-Opticrew's weekend plans are largely preoccupied with sequels. Many companies these days seem content with adopting the "if it ain't broke" mode of thinking, and you know what, it looks like it's paying off for them. Not that I'm complaining, though. Good games are good games regardless of how high the number is in their title.
To celebrate the awesome lineup of co-op games coming to us in 2021, we're hosting a Steam giveaway thanks to the developers over at Windwalk Games, a development team of former Riot Games devs working on an upcoming co-op experience. More to come on this soon! *hint hint*
Outriders is set to release in just a little over a week now on April 1st. The three player co-op shooter from studio People Can Fly will be available on multiple platforms, and if you've played the co-op demo, your progress will carry forward. Now with just days to go the hype train is in full effect.
We're back with more Valheim, this time we continue to build our Viking village and fight off the graylings. Things get more intense after our battle with the game's first boss but its onward and upwards as we try to cover our manly bodies in something other than a loin cloth.
We're back continuing our coverage of It Takes Two, the upcoming two player co-op romantic comedy meets video game from developer Hazelight and publisher Electronic Arts. Hopefully you've had time to check out our written impressions and the video preview of the game's first level.
