Gamers will have to wait a few more months for the highly anticipated sci-fi Roguelile.

ENDLESS Dungeon Gets a Non-Endless Delay, Will Now Arrive in October

We've been waiting a long time for ENDLESS Dungeon, the upcoming sci-fi Roguelike from Sega and Amplitude Studios. First announced back during the innocent days of the year 2020, ENDLESS Dungeon is a very promising mixture of third-person shooting, tower defense, and Roguelite mechanics. It will also feature 3-player online co-op, making it pretty much irresistible to connoisseurs like us. Alas, the game has now been delayed from May to October, so we'll have to make do just a bit longer.

343 Delays Halo Infinite Co-Op Update Even Further

We were all shocked to learn that Halo Infinite would not be launching with campaign co-op last year. It would be the first time in the series long history the staple feature would be missing. And now the disappointment is going to continue. After initially telling folks that campaign co-op would be added as part of "Season 2" in May of this year...we are going to have to wait longer.

Rainbow Six Extraction Gets Pushed to January 2022

Rainbow Six Extraction, the co-op title that started as a spin-off mode for the popular competitive FPS Rainbow Six Siege, has gotten pushed back a little bit. During E3 last month, Ubisoft announced that the game - which was previously known as Rainbow Six Quarantine, and Rainbow Six Parasite before that - would launch on September 16 this year. A few days ago, though, Ubisoft announced that they would need just a little more time to get it done.

Warhammer 40,000: Darktide Now Scheduled for Spring 2022

In this post-Left 4 Dead 2 world, numerous clones and spiritual successors like the upcoming Back 4 Blood and Evil Dead: The Game are left to make up for the absence of an official L4D sequel. Warhammer: Vermintide 2 from Fatshark is the best of what's actually out right now, so we're naturally looking forward to the sequel/spin-off Warhammer 40,000: Darktide. Unfortunately, we'll need to wait a while longer because Darktide's release has been delayed to 2022.

If You Missed It: Marvel's Avengers Delayed to September

If you had May 15, 2020 circled on your calendar and have just been counting down the days until you'll be able to play Marvel's Avengers, go ahead and get your correction fluid, remove that circle, and put a new one on September 4, 2020 (maybe use pencil). Crystal Dynamics announced via Twitter that they need a little more development time "focusing on fine tuning and polishing the game to the high standards our fans expect and deserve."

Torchlight Frontiers Delayed to 2020

We're quickly approaching the end of 2019, and in case you forgot (I know I did), Echtra Games' Torchlight Frontiers was slated for a 2019 release date. Yeah, that's not happening. At this past weekend's ExileCon, Steven Messner from PC Gamer had a chance to talk with Max Schaefer, the studio's founder and the co-creator of Torchlight and Diablo. In the course of that conversation, Max stated that the game "wouldn't be releasing in the 2019 time frame that was indicated two and a half years ago."

Underperforming 2019 Games Lead To Delays

Rainbow Six Quarantine and Watch Dogs Legion Delayed To 2020-2021

In a recent financial discussion, Ubisoft announced that their 2019 titles - The Division 2 and Ghost Recon Breakpoint - both underperformed. As a result, Ubisoft is reevaluating the development time needed for their upcoming games, Rainbow Six Quarantine and Watch_Dogs Legion. Unfortunately, this means both titles will be delayed to Fiscal Year “2020-21.”

Certification Has Slowed Release.

Stardew Valley Co-Op Now Available on PS4, Delayed on Xbox One

Eric Barone, the sole creator and constant developer for Stardew Valley, announced via Twitter (see below) that the co-op patch for his game has been delayed on the Xbox One due to failing the certification testing. He further notes that he is unsure why this happened, but that he was working with the porting team to resolve the issue as quickly as possible. On the bright side, the co-op update is now available for the PlayStation 4 version as well as the previously added PC and Nintendo Switch.

A Sad Day In The Caves

Spelunky 2 Delayed

The upcoming Spelunky 2, which was set to release later in 2019, has been delayed. According to the game’s developer, Derek Yu, the sequel to 2008’s Spelunky is requiring more time as “the density and detail of the game is demanding more time.” This may come as a shock to some, considering how simple Spelunky seems on the surface, but due to the few details that have come from Yu up to this point there is no way to know what components of the sequel will be getting the extra time.
