Grab the co-op Pikmin 2 and its single-player predecessor alone or in a bundle.

Pikmin 1 and 2 Are Out Now on Nintendo Switch

Nintendo's Pikmin series of real-time strategy games didn't start out as a cooperative series. The first game was single-player only. That changed when Pikmin 2 arrived on the Gamecube way back in the innocent year of 2004, adding a cooperative Challenge Mode. Switch owners can now experience that classic co-op razzle dazzle, because Pikmin 1 and Pikmin 2 have just been released as digital downloads. Buy them individually (2 is the one to get) or together for a nice discount, play the heck out of them, and then you'll be ready for the upcoming Pikmin 4.

BADLAND: Game of the Year Edition Lands on Switch on August 6

One of the best ways to keep a game alive in people's hearts and minds is to release it on modern platforms. One such game, BADLAND: Game of the Year Edition from Frogmind and publisher Qubic Games, is already playable on pretty much every platform out there... except one. That changes on August 6 when BADLAND finally touches down on Nintendo Switch. At last, everyone will get to experience 4-player local co-op in a colorful land gone bad.

1.4 Update: “Journey’s End” Arrives On PC May 16th, 2020.

Terraria Set To Receive Latest Major Update

Few games have captured the creative and adventurous hearts of gamers like the crafting and combat heavy Terraria. The title has managed to keep its longevity over the years with a steady stream of updates ever since its initial PC release back in 2011. However, it appears the newest update, “Journey’s End,” will possibly be one of the final (development) chapters in the long running saga that is Terraria.

Other Consoles Remain Possible

Wonderful 101 Coming To Nintendo Switch Thanks To Kickstarter

Out of nowhere, PlatinumGames announced they would like to bring their sleeper hit from 2013, The Wonderful 101, back from the WiiU grave where it was laid to rest (alongside the console). With a successful Kickstarter campaign to back it that currently sits at over $1,700,000 with an original goal of $50,000, the game is officially returning to Nintendo via the Switch come May 19th, 2020. The game may well find its way to other consoles, as the Kickstarter campaign also exceeded the $250,000 and $500,000 stretch goals are to get the game to Steam and PlayStation 4, respectively.

Unwittingly release dinosaurs on the go!

LEGO Jurassic World Is Coming To The Switch

It's been quite some time since LEGO Jurassic World first graced us with its presence, mostly because it served as a tie-in to the franchise's first movie reboot in 2015.  Even though we're a few years off that initial surge of dino-stalgia, at least one person out there has presumably said, "You know what, we should put this game on the Nintendo Switch".

Shovel Knight Is Coming To Retail Next Year

Shovel Knight, everyone's favorite game about being a knight with a shovel, has been making the digital rounds ever since its initial release in 2014.  While it was originally only available on the PC, 3DS, and Wii U, the game eventually made its way to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch, all the while amassing a number of expansions and some downloadable content.

[E3 2018] - Just Dance 2019 Drops In 2018

I truly admire Ubisoft for sticking with Just Dance being part of their E3 lineup. Every year they bringing out a dance crew, and they just commit. You may find it cringeworthy or awkward, but it is absolutely joyous and a refreshing break from how many of these presentations go. Just Dance 2019 will be marching its way onto just about every console produced in the past 13 years on October 23, 2018.

Donkey Kong Getting Some Love on the Switch This Spring

Everyone's favorite simian will get his time in the spotlight this Spring on the Nintendo Switch. During last week's Nintendo Direct "mini," the company revealed that Donkey Kong will be making his way to two games over the next few months. The first will be as a DLC character in Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle, and then, on May 4th, a remastered version of Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze will arrive on the Switch.

Octodad: Dadliest Catch Coming to the Switch

Young Horses Games has announced that their octopus dad sim, Octodad: Dadliest Catch, will be coming to the Nintendo Switch on November 9th. If you somehow missed noticing this singularly unique game when it originally released back in 2014, Octodad is about a caring father and husband who just happens to be an octopus in disguise.

[UPDATED] LEGO Dimensions Coming to an End

One of my favorite couch co-op games from the past couple years has been LEGO Dimensions. My wife and I enjoyed picking up the (at times, confusing) expansion packs that added some of our favorite franchises to the title, and playing through new worlds and familiar ones with some of our favorite characters from pop culture. It appears, though, that all of that may be coming to an end.
