What choice will you make?

Soul Sacrifice Demo Coming April 16th

The long awaited North American demo for Soul Sacrifice will finally hit the PlayStation Network next week. The four player cooperative action RPG features a brutal spell casting system where characters can sacrifice objects, parts of their bodies, and even their lives, in exchange for powerful magic. You can sprout blades from your arms, engulf yourself in flames, and even spray your own blood at your enemies. Delightful!

Black Ops 2's "Mob of the Dead" Video Trailer Showcases New Features

I have to give Treyarch props, they've really come up with some unique and inventive mini-campaigns for their four player co-op mode in the Call of Duty game's they've developed. It's unique and fun content, like that found in the original Black Ops DLC, Escalation, which featured Hollywood stars Danny Trejo, Michael Rooker, Robert Englund, and Sarah Michelle Gellar. While that group fought off Nazi Zombies, the new content featured in the Uprising DLC for Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 has a whole new cast facing off against a whole new menace - Mobster Zombies.

Defiance Devs Put Customers First With 1-Week-Long Game Bonuses

The developers over at Trion Worlds really want to make things right with their Defiance fanbase. After all the server trouble, log-in difficulty, patch load times, pre-order bonuses gone missing that have been occurring since launch, the developers want to reassure the community that they are working hard to satisfy them. That being said, Trion Worlds is granting players some exclusive bonuses that will go on for the next week when they go to play.

BattleBlock Theater Co-Op Review

The developers at The Behemoth has made a name for themselves with their original take on classic gaming genres. Alien Hominid was a refreshing, albeit difficult, side-scrolling shooter. Castle Crashers was a wonderful romp of a brawler. Five years after its debut it is still one of the best downloadable titles on any system. BattleBlock Theater is The Behemoth's take on the classic platforming genre. Find out how they did in our Co-Op Review. Spoiler alert: It's pretty damn good.

God Mode Drops Later This Month

April is becoming a busy month for cooperative gaming. The co-op arena shooter, God Mode is coming out in less than two weeks. This is the game where you play as a dead guy and you have to fight through the "Maze of Hades" to redeem yourself. There are guns, and upgrades, and character customization, and a narrator that sounds like a demonic take take on an obnoxious homosexual stereotype.

This new entry is an homage to those that came before

MechKnight Chronicles to Enter the Brawler Fray

One of the more classic forms of co-op games is the brawler/beat-em-up genre. From Streets of Rage to the up-and-coming Dragon's Crown, we all enjoy a solid co-op brawler from time to time. The developers at newly formed Dinosaur share that sentiment are currently developing their first game, MechKnight Chronicles. We only have a little information at this time about the game, but so far, it's looking very promising. Inspirations for the title read like a greatest hits of the brawler and they're currently working to ensure the game has 4-player online, local, and, ideally, LAN, co-op.

Plenty of shooting, plenty of spying.

Co-Op Espionage Game Signal Ops Released

A curious new first person shooter recently hit GOG.com. Signal Ops from Space Bullet Dynamics Corp. puts you in charge of a squad of operatives carrying out a series of espionage missions. You know, things like stealing secrets, planting evidence, assassinating targets, and just generally being a destructive little spy. The interesting thing is that Signal Ops makes use of multiple points of view, allowing you to monitor and work with your squad like some sort of totally non-creepy boss. Did you really need to go to the bathroom that urgently, Jenkins?

Cheetah Speed Returns to SimCity after a Month

SimCity hasn't had the best first month, with all the server issues, disabling of features, and just straight up failure on EA's part to anticipate the demand of the game. After all SimCity launched with 6 servers and now has over 20. After handing out a free game for people's troubles and continued support with patches and tweaks, for many, the co-op city simulation has dropped off the radar. One of the major points for me for not playing anymore is the lack of Cheetah speed, a feature that was disabled early on.
