Cabela's Big Game Hunter 2012 Co-Op Review

The fall hunting season is in effect here in Texas. Bow hunters litter the temperate wilderness of the Lone Star State every weekend, and come November the rifle shooters will join them. It’s an exciting time of the year for yours truly, a novice deer hunter. But until the season officially starts there are precious few ways to hold back the buck fever. Can Cabela’s Big Game Hunter 2012 fill the void? It's a long shot, but that's why we have a big scope.

Even Indiana Jones is Excited for Uncharted 3

What could quite possibly be Drake's biggest adventure yet is a mere week away. That's right, Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception hits store shelves next Tuesday, November 1 and I for one can't wait to see what's up with that smoking plane in the background. Developer Naughty Dog has brought out out the big guns in anticipation of the game's release, and we're not just talking about another launch trailer...

Celebrate the Dance Central 2 Launch in Style with a Huge DLC Sale

Dance Central 2 comes out this Tuesday and includes 45 different songs - my favorites are ‘Technologic’ by Daft Punk and ‘Satellite’ by Lena. Gamers who want more songs would usually need to either export the first game’s soundtrack for 400 Microsoft Points or buy individual DLC tracks for 320 Points a pop. Thankfully this week happens to be Kinect’s one year anniversary, and that means DLC sales a-plenty!

Battlefield 3 on 360 Looks 'Standard-Def' without Installation, Screens and Video Prove

As we previously reported, the Xbox 360 version of Battlefield 3 will include an optional hi-res texture installation. The installation is necessary because the game’s textures are quite large, and hard drives can stream data much faster than DVD drives. Why make it optional then? Because not every 360 owner has a hard drive, of course. That's common knowledge by now, but new details have started to pour in.

Blizzcon 2011 in Pictures

Hey there!  Blizzcon 2011 is in full swing, and Co-Optimus was awesome enough to let me cover it.  Now, I'm not what you would call a "Blizzard Expert," or even a "PC gamer," but I can take a damn fine grainy photo or two!  Feast your eyes on some of the sights of Blizzcon 2011!  Blizzard out did themselves this year, with several gigantic bad-ass character statues.  I also took a trip through their art gallery, as well as captured some of the tournaments, panels, and presentations in action.  We'll have more news from Blizzcon for you soon!

Now you can fulfill your dream of killing zombies as a cyborg!

DR2: Off the Record Gets Cyborg Skills Pack DLC Next Week

Dead Rising 2: Off the Record will be receiving some DLC this coming week. It makes protagonist Frank West a cyborg. No, really: it's called the Cyborg Skills Pack. Apparently being a cyborg increases your melee damage, adds electricity bonus damage to your normal attacks, and increases all electrical appliance effects and damage, because that's what the Cyborg Skills Pack does.

A disaster of Biblical proportions. Pretty much.

Co-Op Classics: The Real Ghostbusters

You can imagine my surprise and shame when I learned recently of an arcade game based on the classic 1984 film Ghostbusters. Compounding my embarrassment was the fact that it would have been a natural tie-in to cover this title when the Ghostbusters games were released on modern consoles in 2009. Sheepish, I grabbed my ten year old son, handed him a controller, and we played a session of The Real Ghostbusters in MAME. It was a mixed experience, to put it delicately.
