One week from now, gamers will be able to purchase Sega and Double Fine’s latest title, The Cave, through online stores. It might not be the biggest title this year, but it should pack quite the adventure for co-op players out there.
Though Nintendo was shooting for Pikmin 3 before the end of 2012, it looks like it will just make the cutoff of the Wii U’s launch window next year.
BattleBlock Theater has been showcased in many different forms over the last couple of years, like at Comic-Con, PAX East, and E3, making its overall development stages somewhat difficult to keep up with without following The Behemoth’s official Developer's Blog or Twitter account. What they’ve been working on including in their title is quite impressive and we want as many people talking about the game as possible. Thankfully, Behemoth has given us a quick rundown of all the features BattleBlock Theater will be offering come release time, and we can’t be more excited for it.
Up until now, Splinter Cell: Blacklist had a more general release date, “spring of 2013” attached to its name from Ubisoft at E3 2012. But after an update on the product’s revised description, the title’s officially release has now been leaked to the public from Amazon UK.
We can’t seem to get enough of Resident Evil 6 right now, especially after our recent, hands-on E3 impressions with its co-op. Two new gameplay videos of heroes Leon Kennedy, Jake, and Sherry have caught our eye, and thus we must share them with all of you.
We gave Halo 4 a coveted nomination for Co-Op Game of Show from E3 2012 (seen at 2:23 of the video) and with good reason. But the team at 343 wasn't so sure they had a hit on their hands as this was the first public unveiling of the game. Did they change too much? Would everything go off smoothly? They've put together a short video which looks at some of the behind the scenes stuff that went into showcasing Microsoft's biggest franchise both at the press conference, on the show floor, and at a special event.
Finally, the last video from our trip to E3 is here. This overview takes you through the show floor and some of the booths that you wouldn't have seen in any of our interview videos. Follow the Co-Opticrew as they trudge through the masses and give you an idea of what a day at E3 feels like.
Nick, Mike, Andrew, and Locke took some time on the last day of E3 to check out the latest and maybe the first sports rhythm hybrid game, NBA Baller Beats. Each of the Co-Opticrew had their chance with the rock to show off their musical basketball skills as they dribble their way to well...just watch and see.
Our final hardware appointment from E3 2012 was with Roccat, the German gaming hardware company. When it comes to design, the Germans have been among the elite for decades. Roccat is taking this same prowess and applying it to their new lineup of mice, as well as bringing a slick app that all gamers should embrace.
We managed to see a shocking amount of games at E3 2012 but there were a couple exhibits that were a little different than everything else. Into The Pixel is a collection of 16 pieces of art that come from interactive entertainment which have been selected by the Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences and the Entertainment Software Association.
There were plenty of MMOs on display at E3 this year, but not enough time to see them all between our other duties. As the only staff member in attendance who really plays MMOs, it fell to me to check out the two that seemed most interesting, The Elder Scrolls Online from Bethesda and Core Blaze from Gamania.
Riot games is a community based company and we have all dabbled in a bit of League of Legends. Even though they do not put a huge emphasis on E3 we was able to sit down with them to get an update on their latest champion Draven, and dig a little deeper into what makes League of Legends a great co-op game.
One of our highlights of E3 was when we got to talk to Gearbox Software's President, Randy Pitchford. The studio has cranked out some great co-op games over the past few years including the insanely popular Borderlands. Now, with three co-op games on the horizon (Brothers in Arms: Furious 4, Borderlands 2, and Aliens: Colonial Marines) the studio is fully invested in co-op...but why?
I love surprise games at E3. These are the games you've either never heard of or never had any interest in. For Guardians of Middle-Earth, an upcoming MOBA from Monolith, the game was a pleasant surprise on many levels as it was just announced right before the show.
We spent a good chunk of time checking out everything at the Square Enix booth, as they had a pretty strong lineup this year. With Tomb Raider and Hitman: Absolution stealing most of the attention. There were some other cool titles that caught our eye like Quantum Conundrum and a co-op gem for the Nintendo 3DS called Heroes of Ruin.
