Season Passes are all well and good, but they come at a price. Dying Light's Pass certainly does, but for those of us with a little less inclination to spend more money there is also some free content coming soon; including a new hard mode.
Ubisoft announced today that players will soon be able to download a free DLC campaign, "Dead Kings", for Assassin's Creed Unity. Leave the streets for a little while and make your way underground to discover the secrets of the crypts.
EA is giving away some free games this weekend to celebrate PlayStation's 20th anniversary. From now until 6PM Pacific on Sunday, December 7th you can grab a handful of games for free from Electronic Arts on the PlayStation Store.
Today is a day for apologies apparently. Ubisoft have issued a formal apology for the state of Assassin's Creed Unity at launch - one in which an upcoming patch is needed to fix over 300 bugs. Obviously people are upset and wonder how a AAA title can be released in such an unfinished state. It looks like Ubisoft wants to try to make amends by offering some free goodies.
If you completely forgot this game was coming out, don't worry, you're not the only one. Freedom Wars just sort of appeared this October in North America and Europe, launching its multiplayer and co-op combat gameplay just for PS Vita. With any luck, everyone will start paying attention to it now, as it looks fantastic.
Another free to play game has launched, and this one seems to be a mess. Counter-Strike Nexon: Zombies is a take on the classic Counter-Strike game, adding zombies to the mix across 50 maps of play and dozens of modes. Unfortunately my first impressions with the game were poor - a confusing interface, an engine based on Half-Life 1, and poor performance all yielded a sub par result in game play.
When we received some PR that F.E.A.R. was getting the online and free to play treatment, we were somewhat baffled. It didn't seem like a franchise that could fit that model of play, but sure enough, the game is coming from publisher Aeria Games. F.E.A.R. Online will feature a full co-op campaign as well as PvE and PvP modes of play. F.E.A.R. 3 was a damn fine co-op experience, so we're definitely excited.
One of the few Zelda games with co-op elements, Hyrule Warriors, will be arriving later on this week, but we got word that the title will also be receiving some DLC in the form of new weapons, maps, and playable characters, as confirmed by Nintendo Japan. We have the first few details regarding the multiple DLC packs right here.
Space ninjas known as Tenno's have just landed on another next-gen console! Co-op lovers should be happy to know that the Xbox One version of Warframe is now available today!
Not a lot has been going on in the world of Borderlands 2 lately. The last piece of DLC, Sir Hammerlock Versus the Son of Crawmerax, was released months ago. The PS Vita port is old news. Even the special colorblind mode isn't so exciting anymore. But still, nobody's going to complain when the game goes free for the weekend with an enormous 75% off sale!
Patience is a virtue, but one that many gamers don't have! How come both PC and PS4 owners can play the free-to-play shooter Warframe, but Xbox One owners cannot? Quell thy anger 'o' One owner as Warframe is incoming on September 2nd, but there is a slight twist.
Raise your hand if you were just thinking "Hey, I'd like to shoot some giant alien insect things using an upgradeable electro-gun with my friends this weekend, but I don't want to pay any money to do so, but if I did I'd like to pay something like 85% less." Boy do we have a coincidence for you.
There was a time when “Free to Play” meant Farmville and Candy Crush. Annoying timed based game limitations and constant annoying social media requests from “friends” defined the genre in its infancy. But the truth of it is, free to play gaming has blossomed on the PC for hardcore gamers. It’s broken free of the shackl...
