It seems like we've been waiting ages for Crimson Dragon, the spiritual successor to SEGA's cult-favorite Panzer Dragoon series. Since Microsoft hasn't shared news on the game in more than half a year, the universe seemingly took it upon itself to throw us a bone: the game's PAX East 2012 demo recently leaked on the Japanese Xbox 360 Marketplace, along with a handful of DLC. We didn't get a chance to grab the demo before it was pulled, but the footage we share with you now is the next best thing.
So here's an odd story. Ruffian Games, creators of Crackdown 2, were working with SEGA on remaking the classic Streets of Rage franchise for modern day consoles. A two minute video was leaked to the internet showcasing the game's graphics, environments, and even some gameplay. It's easy to see some of the Crackdown influence in the fighting engine, but it definitely looks like this could have worked.
Bungie seems to be having a tough time keeping the lid on their upcoming project code named Destiny. After some details leaked from an internal demo a few weeks back, we now have actual concept art, story, and more leaked via a marketing firm. Instead of denying or downplaying the leak, Bungie actually went and confirmed it and released their own concept art image on their site to match the ones that IGN received via the leak.
We still haven't seen much of Call of Duty: Black Ops 2's zombie mode, though we do have a general overview of it. Called Tranzit, players are taken to an open world like setting, riding a bus from locale to locale fighting zombies along the way. But other than that teaser video we haven't seen much in terms of actual gameplay or maps, at least, until now.
After the new Mechromancer class DLC went live yesterday on all platforms, the PS3 version in particular had its hand in revealing the future Campaign add-on early. Through a bunch of new PlayStation 3 Trophies relating to the unavailable DLC being uploaded to the PlayStation database, we can look forward to even more Borderlands 2 content already lining up for us.
In its first week of retail Gears of War 3 utterly decimated the 2011 sales charts, selling more copies in seven days than any other game has cumulatively sold to date (as of January 2011). The tally shows above three million copies of the game going home with happy gamers everywhere. That's amazing!
In probably the most realistic way ever conceived, a video game will emulate reality this October 25th. The Battlelog - a social site for Battlefield players - will be available alongside Battlefield 3. News feeds, instant chat, voice chat, stat tracking, and much more will be at your fingertips.
A version of the Gears of War 3 single player campaign has leaked onto the internet in fully playable form. The game isn't scheduled to ship until September, but there are dozens of YouTube videos out there filled with spoilers from the game's story. There's no details yet on how the build was obtained and if it is related to the recent hacker attacks that have seemingly swept the gaming industry.
Battlefield 3 looks like it will top previous titles in the Battlefield series, what with destructible maps and a co-op campaign... But wait - what's this? From the shadows appeareth the arch-nemesis!
Admit it, there are a lot of games on the market, and not a lot of time or money to go around. You really want the most bang for your buck, but who do you trust to give you the best possible recommendation. We give you our reviews, as well as other sites, but who should give you the final say-so?
We love hearing about new things being added to the games we love, and Transformers: War for Cybertron is just one of those things. Recently, Xbox Live had a listing for new Transformers DLC that no one had heard of. The reason? It hasn't really been announced yet, but it sounds pretty cool.
The above pictured Japanese magazine has officially leaked the full game co-op title Virtual-On Force, which is similar to the XBLA version "Virtual-On Oratorio Tangram," only bigger and more co-opey. Virtual On is Sega's version of Armored Core - giant mechs, guns, explosions, etc. The arcade game is a world of fun, but Kotaku has the scoop so far on what the full game will contain.
This screenshot does the leaked Left 4 Dead 2 high-quality trailer no justice whatsoever. Effectively trumping every zombie movie trailer ever made, not only is the video shockingly awesome, you can't help remember that you will be playing these scenarios with your co-op friends in less than a month.
There's going to be nothing better than getting the band back together when Rock Band 2 hits this September for the Xbox 360. You and three buddies wailing away on plastic instruments and singing songs the way only mama could love. Recently ScoreHero picked up on a partial setlist from the game, thanks to some clever G4TV footage of Rock Band 2. That list is highlighted by the likes of the Red Hot Chili Peppers and "Give it Away Now" and the Foo Fighters with "Everlong."
Are you a fan of the Crash Bandicoot series? If so than listen up because we got the goods on the latest iteration of the series called Crash Bandicoot: Mind over Matter. A recent leaked press release has been making it's rounds along with some leaked images, and while there are only a few details of the game available, the one we care about the most is announced - co-op.
