Resident Evil: Darkside Chronicles Interactive Trailer, Co-Op Release AlertNovember 16th, 2009 at 3:26 PM by Katrina "ShadokatRegn" Pawlowski

"Did you see that thing come out of the video?" "Yea...I did..." "Okay, just making sure."

Resident Evil: Dark Side Chronicles hits the Wii November 17th. To celebrate this co-op release, Gametrailers.com has released this amazing (and we mean amazing) trailer which we would like to share with you. This trailer covers the basic storyline, as well as a taste of the on-rails gameplay...only, you use your mouse instead of your Wii-remote.

Interactive in the way that we can't embed, you'll click-to-kill zombies, experience screen-shattering hits, and have more fun than would otherwise be expected from an online trailer. Check out the interactive trailer today, then join us for some co-op on the Wii starting tomorrow.

This screenshot does the leaked Left 4 Dead 2 high-quality trailer no justice whatsoever. Effectively trumping every zombie movie trailer ever made, not only is the video shockingly awesome, you can't help remember that you will be playing these scenarios with your co-op friends in less than a month.

Alright, enough talk! The game hits stores November 17th. The trailer is embedded below and at this link.

[UPDATED] Army of Two "Extraction" Survival Mode RevealedOctober 22nd, 2009 at 1:21 PM by Jim "txshurricane" McLaughlin

My heart just stopped. No, I don't need an adrenaline shot or a tampon quick-fix...I need Army of Two: The 40th Day. Like, right now.

The Army of Two Developer Blog has been updating like crazy, including some juicy updates that we've missed despite our obvious excitement for this game. Spenser Norrish, the community manager and a very helpful friend to Co-Optimus, has been steering us toward the blog for some time. After promising to feature the blog in a news post this week, the "Extraction" reveal trailer has been made available on the blog, and their timing couldn't be better.

Not only is Army of Two: The 40th Day jumping on the "survival mode" bandwagon, it's doing so with its customizable armor and weapon features intact. Pre-order demos and exclusive content? Pft. Try instant access to the game's free delayed-release bonus (read: DLC) four-player co-op survival mode!

Co-optimus.com has the not-so-exclusive run-down of what to expect with Magicka, as well as a trailer featuring self-aware humor, and screen shots to make your mouth water.

Crackdown 2 PreviewOctober 05th, 2009 at 4:34 PM by Katrina "ShadokatRegn" Pawlowski

The Tokyo Game Show has given us a few insights into games that were just announced at E3, including the highly anticipated co-op sequel to Crackdown. Crackdown 2 was giving journalists a chance to test drive this sequel behind closed doors, and we have a preview or so to share. We have been looking forward to the sequel that was almost nixed by Microsoft due to low expectations before Crackdown knocked our socks off, but we have a new team behind the scenes this time. With Ruffian studio taking the reins with Crackdown 2, does the sequel hold up to the original, or are these shoes just too big to fill?

PixelJunk Monsters Deluxe Coming to Your PSP Oct. 1September 30th, 2009 at 11:37 AM by Jason "OrigamiPanther" Love

While the 2009 Tokyo Game Show has wrapped up for the year, there was one more bit of lingering co-op related news to come out of the Makuhari Messe convention center.  PixelJunk Monsters Deluxe, the Playstation Portable version of the enjoyable, co-op tower defense title released in early 2008, will be available this Thursday, October 1.  What better way to celebrate a new month than with a slightly new co-op title?  PixelJunk Monsters Deluxe includes all the content of the original title, the Encore DLC pack, new monsters, new stages, unlockable bonuses, and (best of all) 2 player local and online co-op.  A trailer for the game, as well as an interview with Dylan Cuthbert of Q Games and Jeff Rubenstein from the Playstation Blog, can be found after the break.

You'd be daffy to miss this one.

Getting closer to the games release, Fairytale Fights is showing us a little teaser of the brand of humor in the game through this new theatrical style trailer. Starting off with what you'd expect to see from a Fairytale story with sweet music and mystical glimmering text on the screen, and quickly melting into the hardcore gore-fest you will actually see with the game. All four characters show off their sweet moves in this one, co-op style!

Deathspank PAX 2009 TrailerSeptember 14th, 2009 at 5:09 PM by Katrina "ShadokatRegn" Pawlowski

Game Name: Deathspank
Co-Op: Yes
Publisher/Developer: Hothead Games
Release Date:
2010

While I didn't get any hands-on time with Deathspank, the good people of Hothead games gave a nice presentation for the upcoming title. It was described as being a mashup of Monkey Island meets Diablo, which I'm sure interests some of our group.   Official PR material for the game states 2 player local co-op, but details are scarce.
