Deadspace Extraction Screens and Preview

Deadspace Extraction is the upcoming Wii version of last years hit survival horror game from Electronic Arts.  While the original Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 game was a third person shooter, the Wii version will play like an on rails shooter.  While some may balk at it, the game does support 2 player co-op, as evidence by the screen above.  Speaking of screens, the folks at Cinema Blend have gotten their hands on a few new screenshots and concept art for the game.

Songbird gives Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 Wings

Just when Marvel: Ultimate Alliance 2 started to fade out of mainstream press, Songbird makes a curtain call that reminds us that Ultimate Alliance is still here, and working harder than ever to bring us a beautiful co-op experience.  Visually, we've seen a lot of Hero screenshots.  But, this time, some of the art developers come out to play, and share a little bit about this little birdie.

This Week in Co-Op: Resident Evil... 5!

To be honest, when I first got a chance to play Resident Evil 5, I wasn’t impressed.  Nick detailed our little outing with the demo in a previous This Week in Co-Op, and no, my dislike of the game had nothing to do with the fact that I got cut in half with a chainsaw.  After putting some hours in with the full game, however, it seems that the latest Resident Evil isn’t quite so bad as first feared, but it is, in fact, quite wicked.  I would even be willing to go so far as to say that zombies/parasite infected/rage infected/creatures of the night/undead/das vampirs and co-op go together like peanut butter and jelly. Fellow staff member, and fellow survival horror enthusiast, Mike “pheriannath” Katsufrakis and I made a deal: despite our misgivings about the game, we would both pick it up on the condition that we played it together.  No, it wasn’t a sweet case of friends sharing in the joys of co-op, more a situation of “if I have to suffer through this then so do you!”  With that positive attitude in mind, Mike (Chris) and I (Sheva, again) prepared ourselves to face down the Majini hordes.

You're Gonna Want to Call Both Versions of Ghostbusters

I don't generally look at multiplatform games and consider purchasing a copy for each system, and you shouldn't either – until you take a look at the upcoming Ghosbusters game. With most games that are released across the board, Wii is generally shrugged off as an ugly port, and PS3 or Xbox360 depends on your favorite flavor. However, taking wholly separate paths, the Xbox360 and Wii versions of the Ghostbusters game might as well be two different games. And for the record, it's not in the Dead Rising: Chop 'till You Drop versus Dead Rising vein, either.

Patapon was a quirky title for the PSP.  The sequel will implement co-op, which is a trend we'd love to see continue.  It was recently announced that a demo will be available, and here's how to get it.
