Valve Updates Portal 2 With an Official PC Split-Screen Co-Op Mode

Consoles might have had the split-screen co-op advantage on Portal 2 that their PC counterparts didn’t for a good while, but those days are now gone. Along with some minor fixes, Valve has recently added the split-screen co-op mode to the PC version of Portal 2, making Steam the undisputed best way to experience the entire game on one platform.

Survive the Onslaught of Xenomorphs in 4 Player Co-Op

New Aliens: Colonial Marines Survival Mode Trailer

Aliens: Colonial Marines is finally going to see the light of day on February 12th,2013.  The game has the current record for longest co-op game in our database without a release, and after numerous delays, it's finally going to happen.  Slowly but surely the Gearbox developed title is leaking out details about its offerings, including a full four player co-op campaign and numerous versus multiplayer modes.  But today we have a trailer for a co-op mode called Survival.  I bet you can't guess what you do in it.

Cadenza Still Delivers on their Six Degrees of Freedom Shooter

Retrovirus Beta Now Available, Co-Op Campaign Playable

The alpha has come and gone, and Retrovirus is now kicking into beta mode. Dylan Barker, game designer/community manager for developer Cadenza Interactive, told us this past summer that plans were in place for the game to still see release, no matter what, and it appears the next phase has arrived. The best part? Unlike the alpha, which was limited to just some of the single-player missions, the beta comes with... wait for it... co-op modes! The beta is not free; though it is essentially a pre-order of the game as the full thing will unlock once it's released early next year, we're told.

Halo 4 Spartan Ops Episode 3 Co-Op Walkthrough

Episode 3 of 10 is now available to download of Halo 4's Spartan Ops co-op campaign.  The story sees Dr. Halsey returning to the mix, this time helping the team aboard the Infinity discover exactly what the artifact is.  Episode 3 is much improved over the previous episode, which saw many maps recycled and combat feeling pretty stale.  This time around there's plenty of vehicle missions alongside some new maps, including a few familiar from the game's competitive multiplayer.

How much baddass is too much badass?

Borderlands 2: Mr. Torgue's Campaign of Carnage Out Today, Explosive Launch Trailer

Ok. We get it. Borderlands 2 is a badass game. It's got badass guns, badass enemies, badass characters, and even a Badass Rank (which spontaneously resets itself from time to time). I love me some Borderlands 2, but I think I'm over all the badass stuff. It's kind of played. Just look at this AMA Gearbox writer Anthony Burch did for Reddit yesterday (in character as Mr. Torgue). It's kind of fun while simultaneously being kind of dumb.  I like it, but I'm ashamed of myself for liking it. I guess that's the point.
