Co-Op Classics: Target: Terror

I got to try out many arcade games for the first time recently, and one of those was the subject of today's Co-Op Classics, Target: Terror. I'll admit to you right off the bat that it's very debatable whether T:T counts as a trueclassic in anyone's eyes, but it is certainly... memorable.

Call of Duty: Black Ops - Annihilation Map Pack Dated for PC and PS3

PS3 and PC gamers can expect to be playing the latest Call of Duty: Black Ops DLC by the end of the month.  The Annihilation map pack features four new multiplayer versus areas and another co-op Zombie map. The new stages are set in exotic locales such as a drive-in, a golf course, a construction site, and an airplane hangar.  If those locations don't sound that interesting, wait until you throw twelve people with automatic weapons into the mix.  That always livens up a party.  The Zombie map is called Shangri-la, and it features a few new surprises for Zombie veterans.  You can see our impressions of the Annihilation map pack here.

New RAGE Video is All About Weapons

The latest dev diary from id Software focuses on the weapons for the upcoming first person shooter, RAGE.  Scream it to yourself.  Feel better?  Remember, it's Friday.  You're almost done.  Some of the weapons highlighted in this video include the shotgun and the impressive Wing Stick.  We also get a chance to see a few of the wicked gadgets at work.  The game seems to have strong RPG elements, including an inventory and in-game economy.  The developers assure us that the game is first and foremost a first person shooter.  Check out the video and let us know what you think.

The Cursed Crusade's Price Won't Have You Cursing

Atlus is well known for publishing unique, niche, but quality titles.  So it was a bit of a surprise to see the publisher announce a budget friendly price of $39.99 for their upcoming co-op hack and slash game, The Cursed Crusade.  With an October 11th release date, it seems Atlus set this price more so as a sales tool for the crowded holiday season, rather than a reflection of the game's quality.

More Screens and Information for PS3's House of the Dead: Overkill - Extended Cut

Gamers who didn't get to play the Nintendo Wii's House of the Dead: Overkill are in for a treat.  The game is being re-released on the PS3 as House of the Dead: Overkill - Extended Cut.  It will feature an HD overhaul and support 3D as well as the Move,  but we already knew that.  We didn't know about a host of new features, including Hardcore and Classic Mode, a new enemy,  a new weapon, and an extended final boss fight.  I remember the "Mother" fight from Overkill, and I really don't need that experience extended.  Gameplay-wise it's fine, but  as far as content goes -you know what? I don't want to ruin anything for you.
