E3 2011 - Medieval Moves: Deadmund's Quest Hands-On

During Sony's E3 2011 press conference they unveiled a new family friendly PS Move title called Medieval Moves: Deadmund's Quest.  Kat immediately turned to me and said how much fun it looked like.  Being developed by the same team that created Sports Champions and utilizing many of the same mechanics, that should come as no surprise.  The gladiator and archery games in Sports Champions were some of our favorite and Deadmund's Quest combines those mechanics with disc golf, or in the game's case, throwing stars.

E3 2011 Hands On Preview Renegade Ops

Finding a new arcade game with dual-stick shooter controls, various classes, and four player online/two player split screen local co-op is always a huge treat for this gamer. In the case of Renegade Ops at E3 from Sega, this happened. I sat in a tiny room with four T.V.s set up to play this military vehicle dual-stick shooter game, complete with four very unique vehicles and a bit of competitive c-op.

E3 2011 - Twisted Metal Hands-On Preview

On the third day of E3, Nick and I had a joint appointment at the Sony booth/building.  He got some hands-on time with Resistance 3 and we both played a co-op round of Uncharted 3 (preview forthcoming).  But what really piqued my interest was the Twisted Metal re-boot.  The first Twisted Metal came out when I was in high school, and I was curious to see how the re-boot would handle the series.

E3 2011 - Payday: The Heist Hands-On Preview

About a week before E3 I was going over my scheduled appointments and realized I had a meeting with Sony Online Entertainment on day three.  I was wondering what I was going to see on the co-op front, other than maybe a few updates for DC Universe Online.  Then I checked my inbox and saw this message from Nick; "When you meet with SOE you need to try to see/play this." He had posted a link to the PlayStation Blog.  I glanced at a newly announced game called PAYDAY: The Heist. I took a little note, responded back with something like, "Looks cool. Kind of a Kane and Lynch multiplayer vibe," and immediately put it on the back burner.  I've never been too much into crime games, and shooting cops and taking hostages isn't my cup of tea.

Dungeon Siege 3 Commercial Welcomes Back Couch Co-Op

The first commercial for Dungeon Siege 3 has just hit the internet and it leans a bit on the lighter side of gaming.  The commercial showcases two gamers taking on the bad guys in a real world/video game cross over.  Best of all, they co-op the whole way through.  Obviously that's a big focus for Dungeon Siege 3 with both couch and online co-op support, though the commercial takes a dig at other games that have recently been omitting the couch mode.
