Fuse Launch Trailer and Co-Op Demo Impressions

The Fuse "launch" trailer is now live. The game doesn't come out for like a week and a half so that's... weird. Why do I have the feeling there's going to be another trailer? The video offers a sliver of back story and features the prerequisite cool weapon footage and an abundance of explosions, faceless bad guys, and exploding faceless bad guys. I know, I know, it's still not Overstrike, but it looks like it has potential to be a pretty decent squad-based shooter.

Fuse Demo Out This Week

This week there's a whole lotta nothing going on. Monaco might be out on Friday, but I'll believe it when I see it. The Co-Optimus Release Calendar is woefully barren. I even checked on the status of Crimson Dragon and Blood Knights. Nah, I'm kidding. I doubt those games are ever coming out. The only new cooperative experience that will sate our need for digitized human companionship is a demo for Fuse, Insomniac's third person, class-based, super soldier shooter.

Change the world

New Fuse Trailer Offers a Villain's Perspective, Insomniac's CEO Offers Insight on Co-Op

The latest trailer for Insomniac's cooperative shooter, Fuse, allows us to see things from the Raven leaders' point of view. They're simple people, really.-simple people running a technologically advanced paramilitary organization bent on global domination. The leaders of this force are trying to capture the Fuse substance to reshape the world. Of course, their vision of this new world is one of profiteering, toppled governments, terror, and supplication.

Fuse Videos Show off Main Characters

While we're still reeling from the unfathomably painful delay of "a few months" Insomniac recently placed on Fuse, we can still get a little teaser of what's waiting for us. A handful of videos recently released shows off the main characters in Fuse, including Dalton "Guy with that Big Shield" Brooks, Izzy "Who Kicks a Lot" Sinclair, Jacob "I Have a Crossbow" Kimble, and Naya "Ha Ha Can't See Me" Deveraux. Bet you'll never forget their special abilities now, will you?

LEAPing to a new launch date.

Fuse Pushed Back to Q2

Fuse has suffered a slight delay. The sci-fi-themed, third-person shooter was scheduled for a March release. Now it won't see the light of day until *gasp* April, May, or June. Oh. That's not so bad. Developer Insomniac Games confirmed the delay via their Twitter account. So don't freak out. It's a small delay during which Insomniac can polish the game until it's nice and shiny. The developer also tweeted that they have "TONS of new Fuse stuff coming starting next week." Heck yeah. If there's one thing I love, it's TONS of stuff.

Fuse Trailer Covers the Rules

Remember when Overstrike was announced, and everyone was like, "Coooooooool?" Then remember when it became Fuse, and everyone simultaneously lost interest? Remember how it got worse when the box art was revealed, and each character's head was bizarrely cropped out, literally making the four playable characters little more than faceless soldiers clad in generic battle armor? Yeah. That was a bummer. Despite those missteps, Fuse still looks pretty damn good in action, and that's what really matters.
