Irem Collection Volume 2 to Feature 4 Co-op Classic Shooters

Back in the 1980s and 1990s, Irem was a prolific Japanese game developer that produced numerous arcade and console hits. ININ and Strictly Limited Games have already announced Irem Collection Volume 1, a collection of single-player shoot 'em ups. Irem Collection Volume 2, however, features four games, all of which feature 2-player local co-op! The four games are GunForce (Arcade), GunForce (SNES), GunForce II (arcade), and Air Duel (arcade).

Evercade Announces IREM Arcade Collection and Evercade EXP Handheld

Evercade is an interesting retro and indie-focused platform that started started as a cartridge-based handheld. Manufacturer Blaze Entertainment then released the Evercade VS, an HD console for televisions, which plays the same cartridge-based games - some in co-op. Now, Blaze has announced two exciting new products: the Irem Arcade Collection 1 for Evercade, which will include the co-op classics In The Hunt and Lightning Swords, as well as a premium portable console, the Evercade EXP.

Firefall Hits 500k Beta Users as PC Requirements Unveiled

The team at Red 5 have announced that Firefall's beta has reached 500,000 users.  The epic milestone for the free to play shooter/MMO is definitely impressive - and despite the long wait for the game since it was announced, - all of the refinement should make it a solid co-op experience.  Red 5 is said to be making "significant" adjustments to several of the core mechanics based feedback from the community during the beta.
